yah right now I just want to lightly mod the v8. intake, exhaust, and nitrous.
The 1jz is so cheap and it came in the soarer so the intall is fairly straight forward if I get the soarer 1jz. Its supposed to easier than the sr20det swap. I don't see any complaints about support but certainly if you went to build the motor I wouldn't have any choices. I can put on fmic, big turbo, big injectors, standalone, without any troubles and have plenty of hp to get me into trouble. The 5 speed would be a lot of fun too like you said!
nash where are those 1jz's at in vancouver? price?

1jz = came in soarer in japan which means you have to extend 10 wires ! bolt in.
2jz = waaaay more wiring. 4x the price !
I'm not prepared to spend 8-10 on a 2jz.

yo rueben, whats up with my trim? yoiu say it cracked? did cole sand it, or just paint right over what i had given him?
ill try calling him tomorrow if i can find his number.
i might as well just get all the trim media blasted back to bare plastic... ive wasted so much money on paint now its not even funny.

No... ive just decided that its time to move on... i cant afford to keep putting money into it or afford the expensive gas for it or anything anymore. I figure right now its all in prime running condition being basically a fresh rebuild and stuff its a good time to sell it... only problem is im selling it at a loss but thats pretty much par for me. I will probably end up getting a bike with the money from the supra when i sell it.

you can get more than that for it
go to the local high schools and put up posters, you will get lots of interest just be sure to state "no test pilots".
if i were you i would ask at least $6k, preferrably 6.5. i paid $7k for mine...

Yeah, well i think i might insure it coming up here soon and then drive it around until someone shows some interest otherwise i might have to keep it anyways... Not many people with money these days it seems. But id like to sell it and get a bike or something i think.

Hey Toby, yeah sorry I haven't gotten a hold of you yet - it's been a hassle around here with exams and my roomie moving and now me trying to move this week.
But Cole said the paint just cracked everytime the trim was picked up. I know what he means because we tried priming and painting some of them peices when I was down there the first weekend. Sand a peice and prime it, then just tested to see how durable they would be and they all cracked.
We stripped them down and re-primed some peices too and still no luck. He'd be more than happy to spray them for you when they are on the car though, it would just be easier that way.
Anyways, give me a call if you want and we can sort things out if you don't hear from me. My brain is just sort of all over the place right now. But my number at home is 754 2338 and cell is 619 3919.

ya, i talked to him, im picking it up tomorrow afternoon. i had the same trouble with the longer peices cracking. the small ones are fine as they dont flex much. i mounted the new taillights today, and im picking up some new foam tape tomorrow, so hopefully i can get everything together by the weekend. once the cars on the road ill take it down to him so see what he can do. how much do you think he would charge me to respray my front and rear bumpers? the rear is faded and the front is losing paint around one of the foglights...
im going to see if i can make the alternator dropdown bracket by the weekend. should be fun working with the 4" bar stock
