well looks like my IC is FINALLY on the way. also getting some Axxis Metalmaster brake pads for the front, ill see how they do. ill upgrade the rears during the summer, along with stainless lines probably... ryan, what bends do you think i will need with the side to side flow IC? i was thinking about mocking it all up with pvc piping, then ordering the bends. |
anyone have a diff pump i can borrow for a few days? |

um that si waste of money but just make em out of meatle as for bend who knows you don't have an intake manfold yet worrie abotut hat last moke the ic up where you want it and leav it to you are at that point |

diff pump as in filling your diff up on your rex |
considering a mild steel bend is about $30, and an aluminum is $35, ill pay the extra $5. your always talking about weight, consider the weight of all aluminum hardpipes vs steel. |

hey toby wana swap wheels mabye i fanily got to bang a gear and fuck i leav to solid strips in secound i think i need wider tires and this is as low boost |
Just gimme a heads up when you guys want to meet and I'll try to make it down. I need to get back down there sometime in the near future anyhow :) |
sure ryan, becuase you KNOW that i want 7" wide wheels.... fuck that man, they are goin to powdercoat tomorrow :) progress: -turbo mani on -oil lines on -bashed knuckles -turbo sitting in place -lost back heat shield -cant remember what bolt and where i put the one to mount the t-stat elbow -stock ic and pipes removed (finally got around to it) -bashed knuckles -swore -swore some more. |
yae toby did some thgin on his car i need bigger rubber but i hate the look of the mrk 4 wheels i liek my look better i want about 315 int eh back and i ave bean looking and um not much tires are there there is bunhc of 18'd thou same wiht 19 but thous are to big i ahve 7.5 inc rim fuck trad not a 7 |
ooo that extra .5" makes it not a honda wheel ? :P a 315 might rub. also consider the width of the tire doesnt increase the contact patch, it only changes the shape. you would have better results changing to a softer tire compound. |
A wider wheel doesn't increase the contact patch?? Can you elaborate please? |
wider tire. things that change the size of the contact patch would be lower tire pressures, etc, whereas changing tire width, alignment, etc will change the shape of the contact patch. so a wide tire has a nice wide contact patch, perfect for turning. however, it doesnt increase the size of the contact patch along the circumference of the tire, so straightline grip isnt effected. as i said, the best bet is to get a stickier tire compound such as an R compound or drag radial. also, the Dave Point, good read: http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/ed...hno/index.html |
Woops my bad, wider tire :) So basically a wider wheel/tire would put the Dave Point closer to the center of the car then the actual centre of the contact patch, resulting in uneven grip? |
