how much hp does a stock '06 supra come with?

Enraged 07-03-2005 12:01 AM

there is no '06 supra. there is an '86, an '86.5, and a '96

Paradox 07-03-2005 12:13 AM

MK3 Turbo is 232HP
MK3 NA is 200HP
MKIV Turbo is 320HP
MKIV NA is 230HP(?)

i think the '07 supra or whenever they plan to bring it back is supposed to be of super car status. sooo... i'm guessing 400+hp

Veovius 07-03-2005 12:19 AM

Damn, what's with all the late-night supra people?

islandsupra 07-03-2005 02:19 AM

what's with you?

islandsupra 07-03-2005 02:24 AM

yeah that's right..... I said it.

Veovius 07-03-2005 04:51 AM

Me, I'm a rotary boy pokin my head into the supra section :D

Nah, I got off of work at 11pm, back at it at 7am

Matt6003 07-03-2005 07:04 PM

oh wow, that kills a night pretty quick

Enraged 07-03-2005 07:38 PM

if any of you need mandrel bends (aluminum, steel, or 304 stainless) check this out: http://www.globaltecheng.com/Product...?idCategory=65 . ill be ordering a bunch of aluminum bends from them in a week or two, shipped from the US with Seawings. about US$90 for all the aluminum bends i need, vs $40 each locally.

Millsy 07-03-2005 07:47 PM

What are you getting them bent for? I may be interested depending what I can get, and for what price.

(I'm guessing you're getting pipes bent for your turbo?)

Enraged 07-03-2005 07:55 PM

indeed, all new hardpipes. 2.25" from turbo to IC, 2.5" from IC to TB.

islandsupra 07-03-2005 10:40 PM

my hardpipes should be here sometime this week too, 2.5" all the way and ceramic coated!! :)

My car smells like burning oil now.

arturiusma7 07-05-2005 12:20 PM

woot, i went to the dyno on the weekend out in Langley. with my basic mods i still ended up laying down 290 rwhp and 305 rwtq.
heres a video if anyone wants to watch :)

islandsupra 07-05-2005 04:59 PM

nice numbers... that's just on intake and open dp though, what's your wastegate shimmed to?!!

God, after watching that video I remember why my open downpipe only lasted about 20 minutes before I yanked it back off lol.

Millsy 07-05-2005 06:33 PM

Those numbers are pretty good. What mods are you running?

I'm not sure what kind of numbers I'll be looking at once I get my 7MGTE modded.

Paradox 07-05-2005 08:06 PM

nice! what were you at? 12psi?

arturiusma7 07-05-2005 09:53 PM

yea 12 psi. .084 bar was wat it peaked it... and yea after about a month of open downpipe, im realllly looking forward to my cooleeze pipes to arrive :D

islandsupra 07-06-2005 06:26 AM

You'll be happy with Greg's work! I have his DP, testpipe and catback... he's making me hardpipes right now too :)

That's a good run @ 12psi, you have a strong motor!

arturiusma7 07-06-2005 09:29 AM

yea ive been really happy with the car so far. the last 2 owners kept the reciepts for alll the major work done since 94! and from 89 to 94 it was most likely on warranty so.... when r we all gonna have a meet :P

islandsupra 07-06-2005 11:47 AM

Some time near the end of the month would be cool - I probably won't be able to make it down before then (and it gives toby a chance to get ready :))

Last weekend of this month or 1st weekend of august would be cool with me... just remember to give me a heads up 'cause it's a 6 hour drive for me to get down there.

arturiusma7 07-06-2005 02:35 PM

yea that seems like a good time to me.. i should have my hardpipes and exhaust by then :)

V.I.Guy 07-07-2005 11:02 AM

Hey guys! i had this crazy idea last night..I know where 2 find a cheap 7MGTE...i was thinking about putting it into an AE86...has this ever been done before....and would it work?

Enraged 07-07-2005 11:15 AM

anything can be done with enough $$. personally i wouldnt do it due to the shear weight of the engine. you will kill any handling due to all the weight in the nose. an idea i had awhile back was to put a 13B into an AE86... as for the 7M, how cheap?

arturiusma7 07-07-2005 11:25 AM

u can put a 3 rotor into a ae86... i have a video of it. its insane :D the car is just an absolute rocket.
