new years eve was good... then i heard yesterday my cousin that lives in the US died dunno the whole story yet, something involving a gun though

on the supra front, im trading the autometer elec water temp gauge for a dual 60mm pod from tte, so ill probably keep the DC water temp gauge and live unit, and just buy a DC II boost gauge.

stock wheels? or stock width wheels? if so, get 245s if you can. i have hankook ventus k104s 275/40/17 for the rear of my supra, nicely built, dunno how they handle yet though.

Eh....you sure about that? The width shouldn't make a difference to the speedo...a taller tire/bigger wheel would obviously

I think he might mean on a sawblade... I don't think you can put a 255 on a sawblade unless it's at least a 50 series tire. The overall diameter/height would be more than an inch taller than the stock 225/50/16 setup, but that's only about a 5% speedo error.

I'm not sure just how much tire height makes a difference, but I gained like 0.1" in diameter when I put on 225/45/17 over stock and I noticed even that helps me clear some bumps easier than when I had the sawblades on.

There's a pretty cool wheel/tire comparison and calculator website that has gearing and fitment here:

http://gs.tolan-hoechst.com/tirecalc.htm

I think 225s will still be enough for me for some time... i just need some damn spacers for them, or at least for the fronts. oh well, still better than the sawblades!

well see teh wide tire you put on smaller rim cause it to ballon this cause the tire to be even higher

see i have 235 45 up fornt stock fit and 255 40 in the rear witch makes it eh same hight as the front

remmber your tire are gears to the taller they are the faster you go

7 inc has fitment of 225 so adding a 245 withc only really come's in 50 sires cause it gay as 16
now adding 255 50 sire whould be just huge

245 50 sire is liek 1 inc taller 255 will be about 1 3/4 taller

these are rough guess but i bet you they are just about dead on

in the end buy 225 front and if you really want wider tire int eh back go to a 245 max

but if you find a set of 235 50 sire i whould give them a go but that pretty hard fucken size to find

245's on sawblades? i'd go 235 max. infact i think im going back down to 225 in the rear just for more stability, traction be damned.
