Just want to get er done so I can drive it again, i've been driving my gf's sundance lately and it jsut doesn't boost the same:p
I'd like to meet people on the island with supras; ever since I bought mine i've started to notice lots of them. It would be cool if we could set up a meet closer to summer when people are finished their winter projects.
cheers

You wouldn't use a 2mm instead of a 1.2mm unless there was a reason....The thicker the HG, the lower your compression will be.

I run a 1.4mm titan motorsports one, but my head & block were both machined a good amount and I still have over 9:1 comp with it

I wouldn't worry about that...Our stock ignition system is fine for the power goals you have in mind - It's a hell of alot better than either the 1J or 2J setup, that's for sure...Just make sure to choose the right plug and gap it right :)

I'd trust our stock ignition for over 600rwhp anyways....The coilpack is VERY strong

Just because it's stock, doesn't mean it's bad....It's actually better than alot of the other options, even aftermarket in my opinion

well see i under stand what you mean

i might get set of msd coils and 2 box's off a guy on supra maina so that be pretty pimp if i can

but if nto i just may run nogly plug wires and hks unit

cause if i was to doteh holes msd thing it whould cost me some money 6 coisl and 2 box's will add up fast

NashMan 01-14-2006 07:34 PM

well chad's supra will be back soon going to go pull the motor on sunday so this should be some fun i think she will take me about 15 to 20 mins to rip here out and droped into the truck and then drive it to my house and have some fun wiht it

and find out if his ring lands are dead

Well I'm pretty sure you'll see no difference
But also remember you're going from a 57 trim to a pte 67, you can't compare the before & after on the ignition system now anyways :)

islandsupra 01-22-2006 11:06 PM

is anyone here interested in my door panel speaker enclosures?

I want new snowboard boots :p

Enraged 01-23-2006 02:59 PM

details?

islandsupra 01-23-2006 04:20 PM

what details?
They are fibreglass and MDF, they replace the map pockets - no modification required just unscrew the map pocket and screw/bolt these on. They are sealed nicely and about 0.3 cu.ft each... great for a 6.5" component woofer driver or will even work wonders for a 2-way or what have you.

The midbass clarity and response is much MUCH cleaner and deeper with your woofers/speakers in a sealed enclosure than a free-air/baffled. It did wonders for my set-up.

BUT I am going to start selling stuff from my car, and I am definitely going to try and get rid of the supra. These won't up the value of the car at all but they cost me a lot of money.

150 bucks and you can have them... or else I'll put them up on supraforums in the next few days.

EDIT: here's a picture I just took. They have cutouts for the doorlight, molded to fit under the dash fine, don't interfere with the clutch and the glovebox opens fine with the door closed.

http://www3.telus.net/joseph99/supra/speaker.jpg

One more thing I forgot, these were really built for a 3-way component system, which is what I have right now in my car up front. 6.5" in this enclosure, 4" in stock spot and 1" tweets in the pillars.
For the right price I can include my CDT Audio CL-643 component set and Sat-Net 4th order elliptical crosovers :)

Enraged 01-23-2006 04:25 PM

wish i hadnt just won an auction on ebay for more cnc mill parts, otherwise id buy them...

islandsupra 01-23-2006 04:38 PM

well if you want them, I can hold on to them for a bit. You've done the same for me in the past with the 3-peice :)

Also, Fobidden Audio quoted me almost 400 to make the same things... it cost about 150 in materials alone and about 2 weeks to make them.

islandsupra 01-23-2006 06:31 PM

F it, I'll give you guys first dibs on my gauges/pillar pod too if anyone wants.

Autometer black-faced gauges and a black lotek triple gauge pod. I also have 2 autometer gauge cups.

Guages are boost, a/f, egt, water temp. and oil pressure. I have the sensors for everything, but no nylon hose for the boost gauge (you can buy them at lordco or wherever for a few bucks).

Not sure how much to ask, depends if someone wants them all or just a few or w/e. Again... if nobody here wants them in the next few days I'll post them up everywhere else. Just givin you local yahoos first dibs.

Enraged 01-23-2006 06:39 PM

dont hold them for me, i need to buy a boost gauge still...

arturiusma7 01-23-2006 06:41 PM

Gen4TurboCiv2 01-23-2006 06:41 PM
