oh man, those coilovers are SWEET! Gonna be awesome on the car. Now it's time to finish up that intake manifold. Maybe I'll come over with some beers and tape that welder to your hand to get it done =D hahaha.

Bah I just had another afm sensor break on me. I just put this one on in the summer and as I was driving to the body shop the other day my car would just die if i wasn't pressing the gas. I put my old one on and now it works fine..it'll just have a lesser idling problem. So i guess I need a new one..again. Anyone know if it's possible to run the gm maft sensor without putting the full maft pro sensor in? Or should i just get another afm sensor for now?

On a happier note I'm at work right now (taking a break) and about halfway through the final wetsand on my car. If I get it all prepped and masked it'll be going in the booth for paint tomorrow. I'm sure something will come up and it'll have to wait until wednesday...BUT my car will be painted THIS WEEK.

cheers!

Hey guys,
does anyone have a portable compressor and an impact gun that can drop by my place to take off my crank pully? I forgot to loosen it before I put my engine on the stand. Name's Tosh and you can reach me at 514-7987 in Vic, near quadra n Mckenzie.
Cheers

Tosh: try the ol tap the starter trick with some sort of breaker bar on the crank pulley nut. Make sure you know which way your motor spins though.

My car got painted today and it looks great. I couldn't stop thanking the painter, he did a really nice job for me. I didn't want to drive it with fresh paint so it's staying at work tonight and I'll see how the roads are tomorrow. My gf took er camera back so I wasn't able to take any pics for i'll see if I can steal it tonight and snap some pictures. It's gloss black from every angle until we shone the UV light on it and then the blue pearl just popped. can't wait to see it in the sun.
Pics up as soon as I have them!

cheers

Here they are!

I can help you out with painting your car, sure! I didn't even get this for free, had to pay for materials obviously.

Anyways, the car turned out really straight with only one or two things that need to be wetsanded/polished. That can wait until spring.

LMK what you think.
cheers

I'm not going to, I just wanted to get it out of the shop so that it didn't get overspray on it.
I took it easy on the way home and it didn't even throw anything up on the paint. I stuck to main roads and they were actually kind of dry from the sun. Also kept a good distance between me and the car in from so I didn't have rocks thrown at me.

it's gonna stay in the garage for a while.

tried wrapping something around the crank pulley then whacking the breaker bar with a hammer... i broke the braker bar.

bought an electric impact gun 185 ft-lbs... no dice. I'll just drive it down to a shop and let them deal with it unless someone else has any bright ideas.

Fletch, that looks hot. Can't wait to see it in some real light!

Thanks guys!
Yes it does look better in person, can't really see the pearl all that well in these pictures. I'll take it out once the weather clears up, maybe we can have another ribs or wings night.
cheers
