ok, how do i get an old crusty fuel injector gasket/ring out of my head, without damaging the head, or dropping bits into the engine? i stuffed a piece of rag with a string into the hole to catch most of the bits, and then blew the area with compressed air. problem is, the crusty rubber is stuck in the head, i managed to cut/scrape some out.... does it have to be pristine clean, or is a bit of crap ok? i have new ones to go on the injectors.

huh you mean the o ring or the injecotr gromets
on a another note i dynoed my car shocred 221 hp adn 250 akak blow 10 ratio icky
so i looked over my car and foudn a big bad boost leak aka the teh lower ice rubber pipe was cracked and soem fo teh worm clamps were striped fix that and wow i got even more power hehheheh
i goig to dyno may car agoing but at higher boost and such
ps this is at 7.5 psi

and i mean the injector grommets, the ones that sit in the head. #5 is stuck in there. i cleaned off the fuel rail while i was at it, holy crap that thing as dirty. and i actually have all the washers for the fuel system, the new ones are silver and have a lower torque setting than the old copper washers. they came in the gasket set that i bought.
best way to clean the injectors before i reinstall them? soak them in gas?

actually im selling mine out of my car. it still pulls very strong, but the hg is questionable and would do good from a GOOD HG job. has arp bolts in it already.

not sure yet. i bought the sheet of aluminum through work, so it was cheap. not sure on what its going to cost to punch and bend the parts. i might be bending the parts myself with the help of one of the guys at work, so the bending would be free.
i need to make at least $250 off these parts, i may be buying a metal lathe

but its getting closer to being done
luckily the parts will be bent early next week i think, so i can sell those to offset some cost...

your all going to murder me... my supra is for sale i cant store it anymore, and im forced to sell.. i will get another one in a year or so.. but it will most likly be a mk4.. it makes me sad too because the motor is actually in great shape in my car just the post HG job worries.. but its fine | |
