Just did a compression test!

180-190 across the board, good numbers in my mind.

Checked the turbo properly as well. A good 1/8" of shaft play back and forth. /win

dropped stuff at the powdercoater, $80 to do the intake, IC pipe, some brackets, and strut tower bar ends, so I'm happy. should be ready next friday...

NashMan 11-08-2007 08:02 PM

sweet

snootworks 11-09-2007 12:03 AM

Toby - out of curiosity, which powdercoater did you use and what colour did ya choose? You made a snazzy manifold with one of the SG's @ PE didn't ya?

Ryan - when's all this cool shit you bought gonna show up?

Enraged 11-09-2007 04:59 PM

ya, made a bunch of parts on the SGs, finally got around to fitting the manifold together and getting it welded (pics are near the top of page 8 ^^). I'm actually looking to buy a tig in a few months due to the cost of farming out the welding... as for the powdercoater, I get Island Powdercoating to do my parts. All of the stuff I have gotten done so far (which is almost anything in the engine bay that I can powdercoat haha) has been done with gunmetal and clear (2 stage). They also did my wheels, and the quality is top notch. I'll post some pics of the manifold when it's done (probably next friday).

I had Duncan Powdercoating do my valvecovers and a few small parts, they charged me 3x as much, took 3x as long as they said they would, and had CRAP service, so avoid them like the plague.

snootworks 11-09-2007 06:25 PM

Manifold looks baller!

I know a wee bit about TIG machines, gimme a shout if you have any questions.

PS Gunmetal FTW!

NashMan 11-09-2007 07:52 PM

hope fully soon

Enraged 11-13-2007 09:21 AM

anyone want Prosport gauges? MDCmotorsports on supramania is doing a group buy, I'm probably going to get a fuel pressure gauge and maybe EGT, saves about $25 off the regular price. If anyone wants some, maybe we can save on shipping by putting the order together.
