NashMan 11-13-2008 09:14 PM

i think he mean 89 there big gunner

there is a pile of them in crigs list some for pretty cheep too like 3 grand mark

Island_Yota 11-23-2008 01:37 PM

anybody know of any MkIII's in junkyards? I heard malahat auto is worth a try?

shit I need:

Rust free front fenders
Drive shaft support bearing
Fan shroud
Misc interior stuff

Anyone buy the Energy Suspension bushing kits? my stock rears are dead, not sure on the fronts but the car needs an alignment and im just gonna replace them all. Wondering if energy is worth the money for an N/A daily driver or if I should just go OEM(not sure if thats any cheaper actually!)

What are some good struts on the cheap? again.. just a daily driver N/A, no tems, might aswell replace them while ive got the suspension apart.

NashMan 11-23-2008 01:50 PM

well yes malahat has the most supra's right now that i know of

i have set of polly bushing's that i don't plan to use there are all ready install onto control arms and every thing they came off my race car had 2 mouths on them

there the full rk kit http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/perf...nsion/Bushings

i am willing to sell them

i have set of lower springs on monro sentrack shock

Enraged 11-23-2008 01:55 PM

i bought the energy kit from Raptor Racing, i was around $150 i think for the full set shipped. I havent replaced any, I'll do them as needed.

Renthal 11-23-2008 02:09 PM

how many does malahat have in the yard? never been there before.

about the bushings, Im leaning towards OEM rubber just for ride quality, depends what toyota wants for them. might still be interested. I need to replace the ball bushings where the lower arm attaches to the hub assembly, apparently thats what the "clunk" noise is coming from the rear end and causes alot of slack in the drivetrain which I have.. I dont think a kit includes them.. they arent a soft bushing.

congrats on the new supra renthal, if your thinking about getting a test pipe I have a 3" one id let go cheap, enraged gave it to me with the exhaust I bought off him but it makes it way too loud and unrestrictive for an N/A. ...that said my exhaust manifold is full of pinholes and cracks on the welds down near the cat and its still loud with the cat in place. Was just checking it out to see if I can weld it while its on the car.. no dice, anyone got an N/A manifold around? haha.. if its coming off id rather just replace it, the heat shield is rusted out and rattling on the pipe too so... sounds grrreaatt.. :(

baboon, i still wanna come down and get those moldings off you, name a day and il come down, I keep forgetting, then I look at my car and go.. damn I gotta do something about that.

My next cars definetly going to be a Turbo, I love my N/A but the paint/body isn't the greatest and but I got it cheap, next time il spend more and get something in a little better shape, the interior is close to mint on mine though so thats a plus.

Renthal 11-23-2008 03:41 PM

yeah i think i'll be stopping by next weekend for a lil fun with the new ride.

Id need a 87/88 turbo ecu and cluster, throttle linkage and thats about it right? Id be convinced if body work wasnt so expensive, I just cant stand having faded bumpers, rock chipped doors and rusty/dented front fenders, I bought the thing cheap though.

It would be nice to buy a GTE and rebuild it, rebuild the W58 and LSD, that way id know the motor/tranny/diff havnt been beat on and it would pretty much be like new, just dont have the money/time/desire to to that right now.

Renthal 11-24-2008 05:53 PM

good look on usedvictoria. THeres a 92 supra turbo project i almost bought..
he pulled a motor out of a written off 88 Supra Turbo and he put the motor in his 92 shell... unfortunatly the 92 sat with the windows down and water is everywhere..

there are shit loads of good parts and if he still has it he probably wants it gone
yank the motor thats already swapped into the 92, theres a new clutch in the tranny there ya go!

he was asking 1000 for everything

NashMan 11-24-2008 06:03 PM

things you need for swap

r154 trans
r145 front half drive shaft
ic pipeing and cooler or after market
ecu
ignitor
motor
wirieng harness
oil cooler
air flow meater

you can mod the stock tac for it to work on the na tack i done it easy as piss

it's really easy swap

mr_baboon 11-24-2008 06:26 PM

Yea, W58 + turbo = mashed up W58. haha.

I have a bunch of the bits you need, (ecu, afm, ignitor etc etc). Just gotta get yourself the turbo :P

Enraged 11-24-2008 08:09 PM

if you dont beat on it, the W58 would probably last until you make more than 400rwhp... but if you beat on it, you can kill it on an NA.

Its too bad because they are a nice tranny, And yeah its already dieing, im going to try Redline MT90 in it, see if it helps.. guess il replace the shifter bushing too seeing as its sloppy.

Alot JDM engines ive seen come with a tranny so id just use that one most likely. I dont know what I want to do yet, N/A is still running strong!

Yeah I emailed the guy, no response I really want parts off that blue one he has as its the exact same car as mine. Id buy it but I have more than enough shit in the yard as it is.

Renthal 11-25-2008 08:59 PM

his name is James Embury (mopar___maniac@hotmail.com)

i'll see if i can dig up his #

my tranny is real grumpy going into first and second when its cold..
anything remedy this? lubricant wise and or changing parts wise?

ah the trim im supposed to come buy right?

Island_Yota 11-26-2008 05:06 PM

No one in Duncan has Redline MT-90, Gonna try Duncan Motorcycles.. Can tire,Lordco, Napa, and Duncan auto didn't have it, anyone know where I can get it? Ordered shift bushings at Metro Toyota, Priced a driveshaft center support and wow.. expensive, Lordco found a couple but they dont look like they would fit (Cressida) but I could probably press out the rubber and press it into my bracket, I think it was still kinda pricey though. after all that I forgot to stop at Ford to get gear oil and LSD additive.. damn it.
