Lexus afm requires either 550's for a very rough tune, or a SAFC to tune them correctly. A wideband would also be nice. All the lexus afm does is trick the ecu into thinking its taking in less air than it actually is. You'd need to upgrade to 550's to get the A/F ratio right since your car thinks it's running 440's and doesn't know it's adding more fuel. |
ahhh gracias baboon. can i upgrade to a 57 trim turbo with no problems? i might still just buy the lot and keep the lexus AFM for later i'll take a look for the ashtray right now |
if you upgrade the turbo on stock injectors, you will most likely just hit fuel cut, you won't make a whole bunch more power. but add in an safc, and you will have more room to play. honestly, id skip the lex afm and safc, and just get a maft (pro would be best to run speed density = no more afm) or a gen2 http://www.maftpro.com/ |
ok thanks rob lmk |
i find with manment it really depends on how far you wana go and how it cost's in the frist place cause remmber you can all wasy sell and upgrade later on i have doen this for year's as for lex stock in jefcotrs that is fine do you need 550's nope 440's will net about 450 hp 550 will be tad over 500 granted you are maxing both these injectors when doing this if you want cheep 400 lex/57ct/fuel reg/safc/hard pipe's/intake filter /exhuast/muanle bc/clutch and wes don't waste you tire with stock wheels in less you like thrwoing away money you will find later on wider is better but dame i drive better drunk then him lol and it's fucken raining man i wish i had old red shitty that was fun snow drift rally beat the shit out of car funny part it was so slow i mena slow my buddies old school vovle wagon was faster then it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YmEJVUDM9n0 oh yae that is me really hung over |

Wes, I saw you there a couple weeks ago or whatever when you had sawblades. I saw a white pre-89 with pretty much the same wheels you have now yesterday, weird! Saw a chick driving a really clean red pre-89 turbo, think it was an auto in Millbay too. So far I haven't seen another dark blue one anywhere but for parts. I really need to get some shit done on mine need all this: Suspension bushings(all of them) Struts/Shocks/Ball joints LSD shims, Solid spacer, Rebuild parts Exhaust gaskets Alignment, Tires. |
