anyone want to help rebuild a 4.30 LSD diff? Or anyone have a spare around that they want to get rid of? LSD isnt working too well, needs a solid spacer. I really need to do the suspension bushings now, if I accelerate and let go of the wheel it pulls to the left, let the gas off it centers back a little, if im accelerating on the hwy the back end wanders around too.. really noticeable up past 130kmh. Going to order the energy kit and the other crap from Toyota monday. |

i got a flat on sunday in vancouver... luckily i had a full size spare, so no big deal right? I back out of my parking spot this morning... and my full size spare is flat. so I call BCAA to fill it up with air and go down to Big-O tires, pay $30 to fix the spare, and find out that the original tire is trashed (had to drive on it to get off the road into a parking lot). who the fuck leaves a spare tire in the trunk with a fucking screw in it? not only was I an hour late for work, now I have to buy a new fucking tire too! bah! although, i have 235 45 17s on the front of the supra, might be time to swap them onto the BMW and put some nice fat 255s on the supra... |
Also might be looking to swap my 3.91 for a 4.30 rear end if anyone has a diff in good shape? cheers! -fletch |

i hate bleeding brakes. went through over a litre getting the air out and fluid clean, need a bit more i think... if you don't have speed bleeders, get them. makes it so much easier. $16/pair from lordco for the russell brand. |
i think you just suck at bleeding hehehe |
no, there was lots of air and the fluid was nasty. |
ordered the bushings, $70.45 each, so $160ish said and done.. what is this a Benz? haha. When I take the old ones out im going to take them apart and see if I can rebuild them. Also, can't get the little steel clips for my lock bezels.. lordco have those? |
I just super glued my lock bezels to the door panels. They never came off again. Mind you I had a $40 bottle of super glue. Shit glues your dick to your hand in under 3 seconds if you're not careful. |
gueling stuff with you dick hangin out i don't wana know |
my lock bezels wont stay on either:( |
Fucking car. Its had oil dripping down the bell housing for a long time but it just started leaving drops everywhere I park, Pull a plug wire and oh sweet, valley is fucking full of oil, cant even see the plugs. Driving it last night, temp spikes to 3/4, and drops to normal.. pull over, let it run, hold it at 3k, and it sits at normal, take it for a drive this morning same exact thing. Still has air in the system, ive burped it 3 times.. Top it all off, walk out to the car today and it has a flat tire, fixed that already. records say the valve cover gasket were replaced at 233,000km so its quite possible they never cleaned the valley out. I spilled some oil into the valley the other day changing the oil so that would be why its running down onto the ground now. Pulling all that shit apart, testing the compression before I buy any more parts, if its fucked im pulling the motor. |
sounds to me like a perfect time to put a gte in..aha |
valve cover gaskets are a simple job, just dont forget to put the extra sealant at the front of the engine at the cam seals. also, replace the stock bolts with hex head or allen head bolts, and use lock washers. |
