Enraged 02-04-2010 08:13 AM

... because it actually runs? :) now I just have to button it up and start tuning

if anyone wants a nice test pipe or exhaust, ryan does nice stainless welding now

NashMan 02-04-2010 09:00 PM

yup it woke up in all her glory

Enraged 02-05-2010 08:07 AM

NashMan 02-05-2010 09:52 AM

Enraged 02-05-2010 10:33 AM

too bad its not closer, or I would buy it.

Enraged 02-11-2010 08:51 AM

wow, revscene sure is dead.

so I got the head from Rob, going to do a cheapy build on it.

head $free
BBC valve springs $75
new valve seals $35
Ryans old cams $100

just need a resurface and cleaning, so probably another $100-150 in machine work, then have to adjust clearances.

I've got a ton of shims here when you need them..

Enraged 02-11-2010 04:57 PM

im also helicoiling all 7 of the exhaust studs, so I had to buy a total of 12 helicoils, so I have 5 left over if anyone needs them. They are 7/16, just like the kit Driftmotion sells. Lordco has studs and nuts to match.

alex, i'll probably take you up on that. waiting for my valve stem seals to arrive, then ill drop the head off at the machine shop. im going to do the shims myself, Ryans old cams are going to need bigger shims...

I got lots of big shims.. and use brass nuts to secure the manifold. onto the studs, not regular nuts.

Enraged 02-11-2010 09:45 PM

using stover locknuts

i got some connectors from easterbeaver today, if you need to rewire anything (I need to rewire my CPS and coil harness) they carry a bunch of the stock toyota connectors. cheap and fast shipping too.

NashMan 02-11-2010 10:01 PM

i really don't under stand the hole 7/16 stud thing

hielcoil the stock ones workes good for me and you don't have to hog out after maket exhoast manfolds and gaskets the stock one slips on if remember right

mr_baboon 02-12-2010 12:42 AM

If I recall my stock manifold/gasket fit no problem with 7/16 studs...
