Holy shit that's a lot of scoring. My cams didn't have nearly that much.. :S

And yes, don't sand them, clearance will potentially be both off and uneven == NOT good.

The two mechanics I'm sitting in the room with lol'd at those pictures.

Enraged 02-27-2010 09:26 AM

you now if JB does moly or teflon coating? i talked to IJ on supramania and he said they are fixable, and the coating can help bring the clearances back into spec.

yea machine shops use dolphins lasers on there heads to fix stuff like this right

never dare use an abrasive ever

TobyCat 03-01-2010 10:18 AM

Anybody have a r154 clutch release fork I can buy off of them?

Also, the scoring isn't that bad. The supra's have a really soft metal coating on the cams..that's very similar to how mine and Alex's looked. I used some scotch bright pads on both. Don't know if that was good or bad for them though!

NashMan 03-01-2010 08:14 PM

NashMan 03-10-2010 10:23 AM

might have a sludge build up there mr chris since you let your car sit and stuff

might wana like add in a cleaner or some thing maybe and drop the oil again

TobyCat 03-10-2010 11:04 AM

I think that's a solid idea. I'll just change the oil/filter again this weekend.
