Anyone looking for a Supra? I dont have any time to work on it or source the parts I need, so it needs to go.

Island_Yota 07-21-2010 10:57 PM

Never mind, 7MGE has rod knock now, just starting anyway, clack clack clack at around 3200-4000rpm.

NashMan 07-22-2010 10:50 AM

well thats no good

Enraged 07-22-2010 11:59 AM

drop it off at ryans house, just add another toyota to his collection

Island_Yota 07-22-2010 04:56 PM

No not really a good thing, I limped back to nanaimo last night, hasn't got any worse. Should be able to make it back to cowichan without wrecking anything tommoro night but il have to insure my pos toy pickup that has no floors and a rotten frame. Im trying to collect parts asap so I can get the gte in and running atleast.

afm and stock turbo throttle linkage/cable is all I really need, turbo fan would be nice. If anyone still has these parts around I can come pick them up for whatever price this weekend, cant find anything online, my accordian hose is pretty fucked too.

Enraged 07-22-2010 05:48 PM

ill check on the weekend if i still have the linkage parts.

worst case, by a locar throttle cable and fab up a bracket.

I've STILL got a perfectly good AFM, you were supposed to come pick it up months ago. And I know where you can get a fan, I think I saw it at my buddy's last week. 8576555

NashMan 07-24-2010 08:13 AM

time to finish this pos truck today

Enraged 07-24-2010 03:49 PM

ordered my shims, not bad, $114 shipped to my door for all 24, plus a few extra (they come in packs of 2).

head $free
BBC valve springs $75
new valve seals $35
Helicoils $25
Ryans old cams $100
Machine work $237
Shims $114
_________
$586

I've got a decent drill now, so I'll helicoil the head sometime, then it's ready to bolt on.

Now to find a good shortblock for free :)

NashMan 07-24-2010 07:14 PM

why not make car run first

Enraged 07-24-2010 10:28 PM

the heads no use without shims...

NashMan 07-26-2010 12:03 PM

Maybe everybody that whines about them just needs to learn to do their own brokerage. Ever thought about that?
