will any of you guys have running cars by then? :D |
all post pic's later today i might but i have lots of other people's cars to worrier about now well at lest every thgn is on track |
|
Durrrr that'll do it! What let go first, spring/keepers/valve? |
what are you talking about, i just need a 1/2" shim don't I??? ha, both valves on #3 are stuck open, so likely bent valves. could have happened when it was sitting on the workbench, when it got moved, whatever. i have a spare rebuilt head with better cams, upgraded springs, and new valve seals ready to go on. if it was one valve, it could be a spring, but highly doubtful for both exhaust valves. move a few things around on the car today, changing my PCV system (waiting on a fitting and line from Mopac), moved the fuel regulator line from the front port on the rail to the back port (former position of the cold start injector), moved the brake booster line to it's own plenum source (-6 line). things to do next are make shorter AFPR lines, the ones on there are waaaay too long; mount catch can where the charcoal canister was; make new PCV lines. |
my feet hurt i walked close to 50 km since i have been here even lost waight all met up wiht zaaan aka eric from supra forums |
where are you? |
The BIG TO aka toronto |
happy ryan? i bought efans. need to pick up the relays/temp sensor setup. got 2 zirgo 14" fans, 2100cfm each. http://www.thehoffmangroup.com/autol...o?itemid=ZFB14 |
umm dual 12's fit not sure about 14's |
bought them off a guy that had them on his supra. they pull enough CFM to run one even, not sure if i will need 2 on all the time. |
i looked at some electric fans awhile ago but could never decide on what to use. those look pretty decent if they fit well. |

1more week tell there spot in my drive way too excited yet |
stock fan pulls around 2300 CFM apparantly, so two of these full blast might be overkill. im looking at PWM controllers now that can run the fans at less than 100%, dependant on temperature. |
pwm the ame controles fans ou know that right |
the AEM will have a fan out with temp on/off (i think, been awhile since i've seen a V1) but it won't duty cycle the output. |
ya, aem will do on/off with a temp sensor, but pulse width modulation lets you control the ramp up and the fan speed. im looking at the FK50 from DCC: http://www.dccontrol.com/fancontrol.htm |
Those units look pretty slick! |

on off will do the job just fine |
whats the difference between MK4 and MK3 injectors? one is top feed? |
As far as I know: USDM 2JZ-GTE = 550cc side-feed USDM 2JZ-GE = 330cc top-feed |
one goes in a mk4 and the other goes in mk3 hehe |
too bad there is no way to fit mk4 injectors in the mk3 |
holy shit, what a ripoff: http://www.supramania.com/forums/sho...-said-it!-WHAT $300 for a set of stock cam gears bored out, and a basic aluminum adjustment cover? |
But they're JDM Jun gears, yo. I agree; total bullshit. |
