mike, you have time this weekend to weld a tab onto my overflow? i need to find better paint or learn how to paint better, the blue looks kinda shitty. need to spray it again and sand it, and then clear maybe?

Yep, I'm free Sunday but if you want to drop it off on Saturday that's cool.

Did you clear it? I wonder if the basecoat needs to cure longer before applying the clear. Make sure the two are compatible, as well.

Or, you could do a few coats of base and wetsand before clearing it. Time consuming, mind you. Back in the day, a friend of mine spray bombed an entire car with white laquer, hand rubbed between coats. He won best paint at a show with it, so it can be done! :)

i used engine enamel paint, i was planning on just doing it without clear. i sanded the shine off of it, and it actually looks better, almost a matte finish.

i was just playing with the paint to see if i liked the color, i can sand it off and repaint if after your done welding.

Yeah im sick of vehicles, been driving project vehicles since I was 16. Bought a Tacoma, now suddenly I have time for other things I enjoy. The car will live one day though, my blue truck might go.. I want a dirtbike, im sure someone will trade.
