any of you supra guys stood out of the targa top while driving? its fun :D ;) |
yup. i was thinkin if i ever found a beater supra (sub $500), id weld the doors shut, weld in some targa bars, rip out the windows, so you just jump in, holdin onto the bars. im still hopin for a deal like that guy on supraforums that bought his mkiii for $50 at an auction lol |
me car came from an auction and my bro got it for 500 or 600 i don't remmber |
ATTENTION ALL SUPRA OWNERS! if yoru not too drunk/hungover on sunday, there is minisprint at western speedway. if you want to watch, its free, they have drinks and hot dogs. if you want to race, it costs $35 for nonmembers, $25 for members ($20 for membership), and you need a Snell 95 or newer helmet, and your car must pass tech (battery is secure, wheels wont fall off, no loose items in the car that could kill you, etc). im free on sunday, so i will probably be going. anyone else? it starts at 3pm. |
speaking of which, im goin to go drink! |
haha, if my cars together and im awake sunday i might be interested dude. im not sure if i'll race, but who knows. im thinking of throwing my stock wheels back on for shits and giggles. just for a week or two. haha, whatta you guys think? my AFPR is all secure now. the goddamn instructions for the aeromotive AFPR say it uses no o-rings, but since i had the SS fittings i had to use them :( and trent didnt include the shit in the box he sent me. my cars on three wheels right now though, and the hood wont close because of how its sitting, its got a pretty good langford look happening. heheh |
uh oh. nashman lives in langford, eh? bacardi is damn good. and now i must pass out. elvis has left the building. |
no no i go the langford look my car is on block whiht one rear wheel on and one front heheh ehhehe whent to the beer store and i got me bubba ehhehe there cool 14 cans in one can ehheeh |
hahah you bought one of those things? how was the monkey piss at the bottom of the can??? |
i still have nto cracked her open yet but soon she will be sucked dry ehheheheh |
hye so i gona be at the mini soritn and my bro is goig to come alogn as well and he might e raceing his cool reantal car or the rsx if it is done |
all be at the mini sprint i know you guys will show it is alot of fun and stuff and if my brto races that will be fun to watch i will be there befor 3 and if i late i am late ehhehe |
hey quick question....... you have to take off your throttle body to put in new spark plugs? |
yup and no it is not hard it very easy |
then i would need new gaskets for the throttle body? remeber im not a car guy, im a computer guy... |
you have an NA? you dont need to take it off for a turbo, jsut need to take off the 3000 pipe, coil pack, throttle linkage, and black plastic cover. |
|
the slow and the frustrated NA. hehe, that sure can be the truth. i can only think of one fast'ish NA supra off the top of my head that isnt on the bottle. hey did u guys end up going to the minisprints? i just got my car back together like a hour ago, now its time for tuning :D its amazing how different the fuel systems running now. its a lot more accurate with the AFPR, just how when im reading the Vf1 voltages and adjusting the S-AFC its a lot faster and i can feel the results right away. its idling a little bit better now, but considering ive yanked my EFI fuse and had the battery disconnected for the past 2 days im suprised its idling at all. |
1 Attachment(s) heres a comparison of the two units. im pretty sure my stock FPR is fried. |
sweet, now you just have to rebuild the tranny to hold the new power! |
yeah, that'll be one of my next steps to take does anyone know what the stall limit is on the stock torque converter? im just wondering how high i should aim to have it. im thinking 3000rpm would be about right, but im speaking out of my ass here. i really have no clue what would be best... |
