fusebox or rental want an EGT gauge? im askin US$225 + shipping now, just have to update the ads.

as for placement of the probe, if you install it after the turbo, its useless. i should be in teh #6 exhaust runner or at the collection point in front of the turbo.

not planning on putting a turbo in. just rims/exaust then sell

NashMan 08-29-2002 04:47 PM

225 for a agauge gezz what make that so exp

hell you can get em for hell of alot cheaper

but toby i still like you pod that you have

Enraged 08-29-2002 06:11 PM

US$225, or CAN$350. its expensive, and no there isnt cheaper ones. Autometer is crap, and thats the only brand that might be chaeper...

Paradox 08-29-2002 07:23 PM

autometer is crap, thats why you dont get proper PSI readings on your gauge ryan :)

good gauges are not cheap, i think i paid over 300USD for mine atleast. ooo but they be indigo... now i gotta wire the damn things up again. the wires wont reach with that lotek pod.

only prob is my gauge reads up to 1200 celcius or farenheight? christ i dont know.

if it was in #6 wouldnt the exhaust temps be higher than that at peak?

NashMan 08-29-2002 10:24 PM

well that i know of is auto meater make very nice gauges but there boost gauges are not so good there great if they come centered but some tiem they don't i mine did not come centered right

caues remmber how many dsm guys have trubo not many there hard core big block guys and stuff so they don't use boost gauges as much as i rice type turbo cars

Paradox 08-29-2002 11:48 PM

i have a autometer fuel pressure gauge ... pretty sure it reads accurately. altho the pressure doesnt really matter compared to the idle of the engine. im pretty sure my baseline fuel pressure should be 37psi

whats the stock baseline? about the same isnt it?

NashMan 08-29-2002 11:57 PM

don't have clue

mine came in a great big box too. cept my box was pummelled to hell and back. no foam inside to keep it from being smashed. wtf! those pods are somewhat fragile. ahh well. i guess i dont care anymore. its here and in one piece (suprize suprize)

look at the picture of the box mine came in man. its trashed! the postal service sux ass. all the white stickers on the box say "damaged goods" theres like 5 of them, and it was wrapped up in tape at customs.

i ripped off some tape and reached inside to take a look before i removed it, just incase i had to return it. somehow ----- no damage. thats what i call a goddamn miracle after looking at the box.

NashMan 08-30-2002 02:12 PM

but the one thing i know you did was shack the box when you frist got ti didn't you

Enraged 08-30-2002 02:20 PM

murray, it should be 1200 C. you will see around 1200-1400 F temps, so it will be a bit different.

Enraged 08-30-2002 04:59 PM

saw a supra by canadian 2 for 1 pizza in saanichton, bomex bumper (unpainted), primered fender, and some other primer spots, decent rims (hehe anything is better than sawblades eh?) looks like it will be sweet once the paint is on. i think he was on here awhile ago, cant remember the name, but i definetly want to see it with the new paint...

Paradox 08-30-2002 10:00 PM

was that jarrett88's supra?

i didnt think bomex fit the pre 89 supras?

Enraged 08-30-2002 10:56 PM

it will fit any year, you just have to drill some holes.... i want the bomex for my car, but modified for the 88 look. i have a pic somewhere that i did, ill try to find it...

NashMan 08-30-2002 11:55 PM

i liek the trust frotn end nose it is sweet as candy pie and if you could ahve the top nose like 88 it whould even look better

Paradox 08-31-2002 01:40 AM

i like the greddy front lip? err i think it was greddy. ir wraps around like the porsche GT2 front spoiler. looks sweet, but would probably fall off after a speed bump or two. hah
