bah, you want the same setup that i want :) talk to toysport@supra-sport.com (not the same as suprasport). he was selling the H&Rs for $188 i think. i just emailed him, askin for total cost for H&Rs and Koni Yellows shipped to me, i think it ended up being about $950 canadain, PLUS you have to remember there is often duty, GST, etc. so budget $1100. Lordco was the cheapest place locally, at $1400 with tax i think.

ill post again when i get the response from him. hes been sellin to guys on socalsupras.com for a while now, so i think hes trustworthy. too bad socalsupras is down right now

NashMan 09-27-2002 04:12 PM

hey i'll buy you pizza if you can do my short shift?

Enraged 09-28-2002 10:04 PM

oh my god..... its SO easy to do it.you will need: screwdriver (for taking dash apart) 2 pairs of vise grips, and one propane torch. follow the SOGI tip, and use the torch to heat up the rubber. use the vise grips to hold onto each peice, and pull them apart. took me 5 min to get the shifter out, and 1 min to torch the rubber and break them apart....

Paradox 09-28-2002 10:39 PM

wowserz. this might help... ;)

http://www.supras.com/sogidb/index.p..._techtip&id=29

btw holy shit! i havent looked at the SOGi page in months just because it never changed for years. but geezus its got its shit in gear now.

Jeff M and Reg do most of the design on that, FYI

NashMan 09-28-2002 10:48 PM

sure and yes i will do it for you and i will find out what is wroung whiht your heater i think your vsv is dead and has ot replaced

ps scotts one was very very very hard to take off it just whould not break i broke my vise in half trying to clamp it down i ended up take drill to all the rubber and drilling ti out mine was easy i did it in my car and same whiht some ones els ect but scotts was a pain

as for the pizza naa don't need to but you can buy one if you wish

rental_metard 09-28-2002 11:49 PM

alright ya nash sounds good man, whenever you can do it, im available basically, and for paradox and enraged, i would try it myself for sure, but you guys dont understand, i have a book warm for a dad, we have no tools, none, no joke, we have a ladder and thats about it. I have to go over to friends house's to change my oil for chirstsake, im all for trying it myself, but i dont wanna f*ck anything up, and ya, its getting cold while driving nash, but i worked a way around it. winter jacket, gloves and a touque. ya basically whenever you can do it nash, i'll take out for coffee or something for helpin out.

NashMan 09-29-2002 12:06 AM

dressing like eskimo to drive price less but will most likel beable to get the part from junker like south iland imports or i think the mrk 2 have the same one i will have to cheak on that

if you buy new you know t will not break for long time buy used you don't know

but call toyota and ask how much vsv vavle is it lets the heater do it's job they will know what is

Paradox 09-29-2002 12:14 AM

dressing like a eskimo. lol

Scottietang 09-29-2002 03:34 AM

it took us almost 50 min to take that shit out.....
maybe the rubber is updrade..haha...we have to drill the rubber in order to take it out.....
anyway I got the short shifter now and it looks nice.....
big thanks to Ryan......
If i do it by myself, I think I will just throw the shifter away since since that rubber is fuxking hard.......
So my next mod will be lowering, intake, custom piping and maybe alternator

ps: I want a turbo........:D

NashMan 09-29-2002 08:28 AM

so scottie do you wna that trans i have sinc your is grinding in 2nd you might beable to fix it by getting red line fulid but i don't know

some case it works and some it don't

your is litter over the border line fo fixing but yae never know

but i still have the spare trans you can get off of me pretty dame cheap

NashMan 09-29-2002 09:03 AM

when is it that the stock ic can not cool eghou

i think it is 15 or 16

Enraged 09-29-2002 12:13 PM

if anyone knows of a turbo head for sale for a reasonable price, let me know. im lookin for one to rebuild/modify....

its raining! i think im goin to go to Firestone tire and see if they have any allseason tires.... mine are crap in the rain. totally stock car, and 1st and 2nd gears are useless in the rain pretty much... god i love my supra!

Paradox 09-29-2002 01:19 PM

stock I/C has been proven to be of not much use past 13psi...

im sure if you made the rest of the hardpipes the flow would be much safer tho

rental_metard 09-29-2002 01:26 PM

i can picture it now, driving w/ ski goggles, touque, gloves, eskimo jacket, and scarf just to be able to drive w/ out the top
ryan just tell me when your available

NashMan 09-29-2002 03:19 PM
