wel i painted my 300 pipe it was to bright so i paint it black heheh look alot better plus a littel port and poils done tot he intake is all was good but the head will never be done caues that is big coin if you know what i mean
i herd the porshesa one does but the sab so far don't so it for me it sound like owl or some thign like that
i just bought what ever was in stock so sabb for me it will hold tell i get better one
plus they redisghed the sabb one it hold more psi now
the number i do not recall some one told me number but don't remmber

I test drove an 86.5 auto Supra today, first time I've driven a Supra.
Gotta say there was less kick than I expected when I put my foot down. I could feel that the engine had potential, but there wasn't any performance to show for it. Is that normal with supras (or maybe just 86.5's or just autos) or is it likely that there was something wrong with the engine.
The chick who's selling it is hot

naa na are great car but the auto thing is gay i find
5 speed na it fun great control so far i whould have to say better then when i whent to turbo motor
if you love na power go for a rx7 can't go wroung when you are buying a na lot of potentale but eh supra na will cost alot to get speed out of it
when i was thinking on rebuilding my na to get over 250 to 270 hp or some thing liek that i whould have had ot buy domed pistons buy this head from japan that whould cost me like 3000 to 4000 bucks then up grade the igntion ect
but i whould have died for that motor but it whould have cost alot and beat the liveing day lights out of any turbo out there even if it was liek pushing like 10 psi
caues na power kicks ass plus they sound mean ass as well
and as for the lng sig i notest that the other day it is kinda long ant it

I've got an automatic NA 86.5 and I agree with you, I was surprised at how little kick it had off the line. But then you have to remember that the engine & suspension are nearly 16 years old. A stiffer suspension and a tune-up (maybe exhaust too) would give it a little bit more pep. Also, remember that you're pushing nearly 3700 lbs off the line so it'll take a lot of HP to feel a good kick. Once you get going tho, you'll "decimate all" especially once you hit 2nd or 3rd.
MKIII's were made for cruising, not for dragging. Its got more luxury components than any other performance import in its class, and still manages to haul ass. 200hp at the crank is still quite respectable for any NA motor, especially since you've only got 6 cylinders and 3 litres of displacement.
I'd say go for it as long as the car is in good shape. You can throw in a 5 speed transmission for pretty cheap later on if you don't like the auto.

honestly, if you cant afford a turbo 5 spd model, dont settle for a NA. in the long run you will save money by just buying a turbo. and you might thing that you dont want that much power now, but 6 months after you buy the car and after getting roasted by turbos, youll want to upgrade.
the best cheapest idea if you have access to a shopwould be find a good turbo body mkiii with a blown engine, buy a used jap-spec engine (US$800 for a decent one with warranty) and drop it in.

Fuzebox, do you have a supra? i saw your miata, looks clean | My mother's boyfriend is going to sell me his black 89t/targa as soon as I can come up with the cash (ie. sell my Miata)...
I've been fixing up the miata and stuff, still waiting for a few things to get delivered, hoping to sell it within a month.
In preperation for getting the mkiii I've been doing a hell of a lot of reading over the past 4-5 months... Am on the SOGI list and supraforums.com.
Don't worry, I'll be cool one day |

For mods, it has HKS intake, downpipe, and exhaust... other than upgraded AC (I want to pull that out anyway) that's it.
As for price... I'm not gonna tell you guys because you'll be jealous
I'd like to get around $8600 for my miata...
Paradox: Well I already was reading the Kill Stories on supraforums.com long before I decided to buy a mkiii, simply because I love MKIV's and it's the only place where people will post about killing vipers
I signed up for the SOGI list to ask a few preliminary questions, now I read up hungrily every day for more info...
Nicer to know what you're doing |

Personally, I'm more of a forum person. It really sucks to login to your email and get "You have 171 new messages". And yes, it has happened to me

If I go for the weekend without checking my email, on monday morning I have 350+ to go through.
Not a big deal, that's what subjects are for.

i am still thinking on what head gasket to run
i can get the toyota upper end kit for like 300 bucks that has every thing i need even the toyota head gaskit
but i woundering if really should run an oem head gasket
or run felpro or other
and i know about the mhg thing but that is more work
so still know one knows why mrk 3 eat up head gaskets so much eh

i emailed colt cams a few days ago, and for $350 they will regrind cams for high performance, but they suggested i get the lift and duration numbers from a reputable tuner.... maybe ill upgrade, one of the guys on supraforums just got a crazy cam, lumpier than most V8 cams apparanty. his idle goes from 450 to 900 hehe
