how was it shipped? the guy i was goin to buy from ships Fedex ground, total cost US$619 = CDN$975

Paradox 10-19-2002 10:33 PM

being able to use 100% throttle is neat...

so is fog/cold on FMIC :D

rental_metard 10-20-2002 10:38 AM

my mechanic came by the resturant today to check on the old beast, and he's analysis is pretty good i say
stuck thermostat:rolleyes:

NashMan 10-20-2002 12:36 PM

u said it was replaced thou oh weill see if that does any thing for you i still think i am kinda still right that you have bhg

cause ytou coolent is flowing that i saw but you never know it chould some tiem if it stock closed the coolent has no were to go but up like it did but

fomeing is caues by leaking hg nothing more nothing less in less you have high persure coolent system that most trucks do and such

what i have saw in my days liek buddy of mine said i don't under stand he chould not keep coolent in his rad it whould just dump out all the tiem

what it was is he bought trd rad cap 16 pound instaid of the supra stock 13 bad idea caue sthe cooling system doe snot work right now more doe snot vent proporly instead boil ino the over flow and over fill it and another thing is blowing and slipty coolent hose so don't pop on new higher pound cap in less you have bigger core rad or runing a water cooled turbo

Enraged 10-20-2002 02:27 PM

gobldigookamaflick? ryan, even i didnt understand that one. you should really try using a spellchecker. the one on murrays supra board helps alot, just a freindly suggestion man.

Enraged 10-20-2002 05:24 PM

FUCKIN SWEET! Im gettin Konis from Trent at SS for US$360 SHIPPED! i just emailed him back, im hopin he'll set up a paypal account or else i have to send him a money order (its a personal transaction, not business, so he cant use the business paypal or M/C). looks like ill have new Konis in a week or so, ill have to wait to get the H&Rs though.

NashMan 10-20-2002 07:48 PM

heheheh i chould get thous, hehehe yae i might who needs tires

baaa i got to get tires hey tobs why not just make strut bar at your school if i was in meatle shop still i whould

Enraged 10-21-2002 02:15 PM

sent the money order to Trent, so they are MINE!

well im goin to talk to my GF to see if she can lend/buy me the springs, if not ill have to wait another month or so for those. but since ill have really good shocks, i might cut the springs a couple of coils to drop it down and inch or two.... im not sure yet.

NashMan 10-21-2002 05:22 PM

naaa don't cut spring you may be more harm then good plus you don't want o bounce all over road do you plus you can't cut em propory whiht out messing the camber caues one coil is 1 to 2 ins drop i think not sure some one cut his sprins that i know and ate his tires alive

and supra are bad eough when it comes to eating tires

a good upgrade that is goos thing to do it get new rubber plates for you casssie that will do alot caues hte stock ones will be old and icky like my old one's and if you are hard core go for hks pillow monts

what i might do to my car i s cut the spare tire hole out and just make it flat full out and make the body strounger plus mine has rust holes there so that is one reson why i want to do this

Paradox 10-21-2002 05:59 PM

i need a new goddamn turbo heatshield, what can i use? the stock has big chunks cut out of it and its just sitting on some little brakets, since the Greddy 20G doesnt fit our stock heat sheilds.

now whenever my cars idling the heatshield bangs around on the IC pipe and makes a nasty *clank clank clank*

i was thinking of doing something like what Duane did on his supra.. check out the pic

Enraged 10-21-2002 09:06 PM

that looks pretty easy to pull off. i would make it with stainless steel. kenny could make it for you, but thats just more $$.

i would say pick up some galvanized steel from Metal Supermarket (by KalTire on keating x rd) and you can use tin snips or a nibbler (both sell for under $30 at Slegg i think) and cut it out. file the edge, and bend it around a pipe to get the curve. then some high temp spray, and your good to go.

Paradox 10-21-2002 09:11 PM

yeah its nothing more than a simple bend... id rather not pay someone to do it, specially when Kenny is $60/hour

NashMan 10-22-2002 05:39 PM

you got t get ss steel and just do it you self it's very easy just looking at it

but what whould be pimp is if you got it ingraves whiht the greedy singh

NashMan 10-24-2002 08:09 PM

yae that guy has powerstreeing pump and hte wireing harnes i need

i syill have not clue what tire to run for good tread wear and good grip and what size to run

Enraged 10-24-2002 09:18 PM

call up different tire shops and see what the have in the size you need for used tires. a freind of mine got some used tires (60% left) for $80 mounted and balanced on his camaro.

NashMan 10-24-2002 11:47 PM

but we got the rare size 225/50/r16

there so hard to find

god dame honda sizes

Paradox 10-25-2002 12:00 AM

i thought you were going to get those toyos?

NashMan 10-25-2002 08:45 AM

umm there a weee out of my price range if i buy em here that i am not

but the big resone there were really fast

i want a good sticky v rated tire caues they will ware better

or wheels and tires

rental_metard 10-27-2002 10:04 AM

bump;)

Enraged 10-27-2002 12:33 PM

hehe

nothin really new to report, im just letting the oil drain out right now, changin it. im burning oil though, most likely a combo of valve stem seals and valve cover gaskets. valve cover gaskets are easy to do, just a pain in the ass. valve stem seals are VERY hard to do on the car... i think ill just buy a used head, rebuild it, and swap it in in the spring when i change the head gasket...

shocks are on their way to me, last i checked they were shipped out of dallas, hopefully they will be here soon.

murray, keep us updated on your tranny, you said its goin in monday (tomorrow)?

rental_metard 10-27-2002 04:06 PM

ya i flushed my rad, attempted to change my thermostate....
but somebody cemented it shut, properly for a good reason, so im not gonna bother atttempting it

Paradox 10-27-2002 06:09 PM

i rewired my boost/egt gauges so they actually work now!

woot.

i also claimed my stall limit at a lousy 1500RPM by brake boosting off the line (not a good idea in the rain btw)

NashMan 10-27-2002 08:04 PM

i might change my diff and oil this pay cheak well at lest the oil

i thinki will go whiht rolae purple not red line i herd it makes the rear diff louder

the last coiupl of day's driven a turbo car is price less so much power caues it gettign colder out

i can't weight tell it snows nashman driff video will be relesed that day ehheheh it goign to be sweet i can't wight for snow but need new tire so i can at lest move in teh snow

Paradox 10-28-2002 02:33 AM

how many miles are on your rear end? ive heard its best to use toyota fluid i think 75W90 in your rear end... for trannys/rear ends with mileage over 100,000k

Enraged 10-28-2002 01:22 PM

sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet my Konis are here, i just have to pick them up from puraloter tonight! i have 3 days off, so maybe i can install them. too bad i still have stock springs.... oh well, that will change in a short time.
