I can't put my finger on it yet, but something seems to be lacking in the photo. I'll sleep on it and look at it again tomorrow. maybe I'm just tired.

If you sleep on it, you might crush the flowers... :(

You were right on both counts. Tilted horizon and banding. I edited the image too quickly.

I've seen that picture done before... I can't remember whether it was dpchallenge or deviantart... plus I think your exposure is off, it looks like the camera metered to make the pages 18% gray.

do you guys saturate the colour in the camera setting?
I find that the colour is a bit bland in my 20d. Should I turn up the saturation or play with the parameters (saturation, contrast, color tone, etc) settings on the camera?

Haven't posted for awhile or visited the forum for awhile.
