^ Should sell that to the National Enquirer or something, they love pictures of Satan appearing in the clouds.

Nice macro shots. I like the crab :) Finally giving that lens a work out, eh?

Thank you.
Yes sir! I finally got a chance to get away and bring all my gear with me and play! :D I must say they were hard shots to take without IS. I guess practice makes perfect :p

Senna4ever 05-21-2007 12:17 AM

That crab shot could be greatly improved if you crop it so that the crab is on the lower right of the image. Are all of the shots full-frame? Is the aspect ratio of canons slightly wider than 4x6?

Hope you don't mind:

I want that lens! haha 100mm f/2.8 macro that is.

Crazy demon shot of the TD building. That is freaky!

Senna4ever 05-21-2007 12:27 AM

Yeah, that TD shot is freaky.

It was very hard to take shot of that ant and especially the rain drop on the branch. There was a slight breeze so I had to wait till the branch was totally still
is does not freeze action.

more more, that picture of fuji is very pretty!

raw > jpg any day. i shot jpg for the dance festival @ DT [link- http://kwu.fotki.com/school/van-danceshowcase/] since the d100's raw buffer was so slow and i had little leeway when i wanted to edit, good thing camera raw in cs3 can work with jpgs...

anyways...if you have a good workflow, itll be click click and done in a couple days, maybe a week. haha.

Domani 05-21-2007 03:16 AM

^ oh cool intersting gallery u have there

yeah a couple of weeks that's for sure..

I don't mind at all. The crab shot was taken with my 18-55 lens. I think the macro lens would've been too much hehe
As far as the aspect ration goes, I'm not too sure. Remember, I'm still a noob haha, any Canon guys can answer this?

Senna4ever 05-21-2007 08:35 AM

Domani, that's awesome! Try a square crop, too!

where did you go?

have you tried using Adobe Lightroom? I've found it speeds up my RAW workflow dramatically (mind you it could just be that i was painfully slow before)

this is of course assuming you don't need to do major pixel level edits

Thanks, i asked for a window seat... but it was 50/50 chance
either left or right, and i knew i had the wrong side then saw
the ocean when i looked out haha so i got up and asked the flight
chick, and she called the cockpit for me. cap said in about 5 mins so i got my camera gear ready and just sat by the exit window.
ppl were looking at me like  until the cap announced
one can see fuji san on their left, but by then it was kinda too
late already for them

I have finally finished one of my projects.
Before you ask yourself the question, i'll make it easier. Yes, it's real. Only thing I haven't done yet is nailed it to the wall. I left the picture on the bed and photoshoped it to the wall

niforpix 05-21-2007 07:21 PM

Porn! I mean, nice photo. Well done :D ;)

Domani 05-21-2007 07:48 PM

pro quality

Mananetwork 05-21-2007 07:53 PM

It's a 56x32in high gloss print stretched onto a bar and separated by a thin layer of foam cord.

All work was done by me, except for the materials

Senna4ever 05-21-2007 09:44 PM

Where did you get it printed?

dub.dub 05-21-2007 10:08 PM

Looks good! I'll need to inspect it when I'm back. :)
