that is basically an hdr. Just not HDR'd together into one image. It's two pictures, with the top of the house picture erased.

No, the window shades are not yellow, that's from the light that is on inside the house.

the whole picture has a very nice mood to it, i especially like how the lights and the sunset (sunrise) have similar color.

the only problem with it is the perspective...which should be easy to fix? other wise i really like the shot.

what do you mean the perspective? Like how I shot it on an angle instead of straight on?

These were printed on canvas stock then glued to the back of black foam cord. Looks easy, but very hard to do.

mananetwork, would you be willing to do a few prints in the same style that you've done in the past for a fee?

You can get them done at london drugs and other places as well, it's just going to cost you.

Or get them printed, go out by some foam board from say staples, cut it, get non-liquid glue from a arts store like Loomis on Broadway and have a go at it . It's a lot of fun.

I love constructing my own art from start to end. It's really time consuming, but in the end you save tons of money and feel like you've accomplished something. Careful because with the first couple prints it's all trial and error. The more you do the easier it becomes.

Ok, I am a beginner and I don't have much of a knack for setting up great shots. I have a Canon S3IS P&S camera which I am not really all that familiar with.

I snapped this shot the other day, nothing spectacular but I like this style of photography (nature/architecture).

Good start and it looks like you have an eye for framing seeing how you placed the stairs in the corner making the viewer's eyes flow toward the middle .

Took some pics of that kid that is grading today. I'm pretty happy with the results. Most of the photos turned out pretty good.
