I didn't soften it, I shrunk it and it turned to shit, but it was late and I stopped caring =)
Theres gotta be a better way to keep it sharp, but I don't know what it is?
The dark feet was my editing, she didn't like her shoes so I was trying to figure out a way to make them less noticeable but I think it went to far =(

It was an unplanned shoot, so hopefully I can get some better ones later

How are you resizing your photos?

Domani 06-08-2007 08:57 AM

envy those who can use 17-40 on ff lol

MikesJo 06-08-2007 09:13 AM

That's probably one big reason why I got it, to use my 17mm at 17mm, lol. Didn't want to go out and get a 12-24 or 10-22 and overlap the 17-40.

wrong?

I think I may have sharpened before resizing by accident on that one, but I don't think that makes all that much of a difference does it?

niforpix 06-08-2007 05:16 PM

I don't know what it is, but to me it looks like she's grinding her teeth...

MikesJo 06-08-2007 05:49 PM

Hmm dont' know. I resize the same way.

Any better?

I don't know what to do about the fact that her eyes are right in the center of the frame. I couldn't find a way to crop it that made me happy, hmm maybe a square crop would have worked, damn why didn't I see that 5 mins ago ha ha

i actualy like how it is right now

i like the sense of space, i don't see a problem with her in the middle, because the way she places her arms and hands make the whole picture look nice., and the back ground is very nice too.

laurencepak 06-09-2007 11:13 PM

camera pics..

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...k/e9945d62.jpg

i dropped my camera once a few days after i got it, so now i covered it with the cameraarmor. (not shown on this pic)
it makes it look nasty, but it actually handles better because it helps the grip, but i had to cut a hole on the shutter release. i was going to get Luigi Crescenzi for the 5D, but he said no one demands a case for the 5D so he never made one. i kinda wonder why because he even makes cases for the canon G7, i assume more people would spend money on a case for a $2500+ camera than a digicam?

[HuCk DuCk] 06-09-2007 11:44 PM

no, cuz pro photographers wouldn't even be looking for a case cuz they're too pro to even think about it. camera armor is really only for the asthetic protection. the shock absorbtion isn't great enuf to actuall protect the internals

Denny 06-10-2007 12:04 AM

Why did you put a piece of black tape over the logo?

[HuCk DuCk] 06-10-2007 12:13 AM

yeah i was wondering that too.... you also did it over the model emblem.

why would you want to hide a beauty like a 5D?

MikesJo 06-10-2007 01:10 AM

Cause you don't want someone jacking your shit... Lots of people cover the logos/model #s.

and i dont really like those "oh wow you have a 5D you must take great pictures" comments too. (which i don't)

haha

if i could i'd cover teh LCD screen too, but then i chimp more often than i wish..

dspirit79 06-10-2007 08:32 AM

You can cover the LCD. I know lots of photographers who do so, just so they don't spend so much time chimping and miss moments.

Nice photograph Kyle. I think she's fine where she is. The only thing that bugs me is the length of her left sleeve...

Itsallaboutgz, I love the rim lighting the sun provides on the flower.

Soundy 06-10-2007 09:02 AM

You can always just TURN OFF the LCD too :)
