pretty cool. Nice lighting too, but it's pretty grainy. Can you adjust the iso on your camera? It was at 800 when you shot. The higher the iso, the more grain. If you would have shot it at 100 ISO, it would have looked a lot "clearer".
and what is that round thing at the top?

Looks like the "bling" is sitting on top of something. You can see part of it at the bottom too, right by the zero.

RONALD TYPE R: I have a question, does your camera put those black frames around the pics, or do you have to do it in photoshop or what?

| A couple shots
Heres a couple I took over the summer. Im new to the whole photography thing lol. The first one I took while I was testing out a Pentax KD100, and there are a few others I have that are along the same lines, but I like this one the best. The background is a little blurry, although I dont know why. The 2nd one I took with a great point and shoot camera I have, its a Lumix something or other. Let me know what you think, thanks. |

Indian weddings are so wickedly colourful.
Kinda wish her eyes were in focus in #2.

Kinda wish her eyes were in focus in #2. | Stole my words! It doesn't bother me as much as it should, I think because her jewelry seems to work as the focal point.
What's the setup dspirit?

What's the setup dspirit? | Yeah... I missed the focus by a hair, but the focus on the bindi still allows this to work... I'm guessing the rose and skin contrast must have been more than her eyebrows so the AF wen there. When I saw it in camera I thought it was in focus, probably because the bindi was in focus.
Set up is shaded area with sky in the background just within view of her eyes.
No reflector, no flash.

her right eye (relative to the photo) looks super lazy - especially with no catch in it - makes it look not so appealing |

I think it's just a matter of waiting for the bee to go where you want it to go....without flying off first. To prevent that, capture the bee and put it in a container with an ice pack. That will cool it down and make it sluggish, or even stop moving entirely. Then you can place it where you want.
