yeah, a little mini one. like half a foot tall. it was sitting on a stinky vancouver parks garbage can. i was still playing around with exposure settings and shutter speeds so that was one out of 15 or so shots with various settings.

I like this one better than the cropped one. i like the various hunks of rock in the background.

going to granville island this weekend to take more photos. cliched I know but my other plan of visiting the DTES (where I work) seems a bit sketch.

ColinK 09-14-2007 12:04 AM

See, I dont think so. I like the cropped one better, just because the rock and ground flows better.
The horizontal one I find works against itself with those 90 degree vertical and horizontal lines from the rock and horizon.
Those smaller rocks up front, in the vertical version, make your eyes follow along to the big rock.

haha, that's my "way-too-indepth" anaysis for the week

Yes

ckrieg, I like the vertical one too. The horizontal just isn't weighted well.

More pics later.

i like the horizon one better too. the vertical one looks like it has a funny distortion in it, and i can see all those funny lines. :|

:)
