Thanks!

F9, 1/250's, 100 ISO @ 17mm.

Not too much editing. Just adjusted the horizon, and played with the curves a tiny bit. Nothing major. I hope thats the info you wanted. :)

Atlantis 11-15-2007 04:44 PM

had to bump the iso to 1600 for this shot. :)

Bads:
1- You cut off her fingers and her stomach area. Try higher up next time. Stay away from cutting fingers or wrists
2- She's trying to hard on the pose. One hand is holding her lean and the other is pushing her body more into the wall.
3- What are you trying to convey, because non of my scenes (except for one of course) are getting effected is anyway.
4- Composition doesn't help. Use the camera to frame the subject the way you want, not frame because you have to fit her in it
5- Her jaw is to high, making her tilt her head to far back and trying to look at you. People like eyes, I don't see much.
6- Looks like natural lighting. Think more about where to position your subject so lighting works.
7- WB? Post editing or actual WB from camera

Good:
1- She's cute, where are the rest of the pictures

Atlantis 11-15-2007 07:07 PM

not really a critique.. just my observation

- hunching or shrugging her shoulders like that isn't very appealing to the eye... looks unnatural, the pose.
(also, if you notice, the left side of her bra is coming away from her skin..making her boobs look smaller..or well, potential for nip slip!..which isn't bad..:-P)

Atlantis 11-15-2007 07:35 PM

haha....

i'd like to give a try on critiques:

1 - they're too close to the backdrop so as you can see the backdrop curve as you look down the photo. doesn't give enough pop; it's almost as if they are all on the same plane

2 - i'd say i like this one the most but it appears she's bending her upper body back a little, making her stomach stick out

3 - same comment as #1 i'd think

4 - awkward pose reminds me of twister :D

this is just my opinion. let's see what others have to say :)

Hi Senna,

Here are my comments on your photos.

1) I feel that they are too close to the background. I'm not fond of the drop shadow. The girl seems awkward... like she doesn't know really what to do. Her expression doesn't really give me much about the photo or the mood. I would also say that her position isn't the most flattering for her physique. I think turning her more profile OR a full 3/4 to the camera would give her a less "thick" look. The way she claws her hand also isn't very flattering.

2) Her positioning being arched back doesn't flatter her tummy very well. Her expression is also borderline. I'm guessing that you were wanting a non-chalant a little stand-offish kinda expression, but I don't think it's coming through. White piece of the cuff is showing behind her. Either eliminate it completely or make it more obvious.

3) Really doesn't strike me... sorry. As a paraphrase of what Salar once said to me... there's no continuity to the image, no link and no full concept that I can grasp.

4) Ur PS is fuzzy around her... and her pose is... funny looking... awkward and confusing.

Hiya, I had a little time, and decided to do some color adjustments, and potentially fix her left breast.

I'm about to say the most homosexual thing you've ever seen a man say, but can you ask her where she got that bra, and if so... what it's called?

Call me creepy, I just have an interest in 'under-fashion'. :)

Hopefully you don't mind my alterations.

Also...

Let's see Dottie's PHOTOS!

the "tummy" is the dress, not her. It is a straight fitted dress that just has that look. I see where your concern is coming from...but that's just the look of the dress and how its meant to be shown.

edit: though i can see how the lighting strikes it and over-exaggerates it a bit.
