Okay, I figured it was actually a 135, but you added the "1.6x" on there, so I wasn't quite sure what you were getting at.

That is a sweet lens though, incredibly crisp.

Nice HDR. How many layers?

Might want to straighten the horizon.

I used 7 exposures. I love AEB. Never knew what I was missing on my D40X til I got the D200.

Some others I took:

Are you using Photomatix, or are you doing it the long way (but better way) using CS3?

I'm doing it the easy way with Photomatrix. I've never tried it with CS3, maybe I'll give it a shot.

Imasa, since you toke the pictures with 7 exposures, what does that really mean? Does it mean that you take each 7 photos and merge it into one photo to form the HDR? Also, did you keep the f-stop, aperture, and focus constant by adjusting only the ISO to take 7 different exposures pictures? I really want to try this out with my Canon XTI but I don't know how should this be done. Btw, I love those two pictures.

Thanks in advance

same. the snowfall made its way from tofino down island within 10 hours, and to Qualicum, and within 20 minutes it was in Parksville. Nice to see a little snow before winter is over.

Back when I had my D40X, I shot in apperature mode and adjusted the shutter speed to create different exposures. You'd get about 5 doing it this way. You want to keep the apperature constant, else your DOF would change between shots.

With my D200, I just used Automatic Exposure Bracketing, specify if I want 5 or 7 and shoot, the camera does the rest. Your XTi should AEB as well, so all you need is a tripod and you're set.

I used Photomatrix to merge the RAW's together and tone mapped them. There are tons of HDR tutorials out there. Since I use Photomatrix, I found this one helpful. http://www.vanilladays.com/hdr-guide/

It's much more time consuming with PS, but the results are much more effective. You need to take many more shots, make multiple layers with shadow masks, etc...

So I got stuck at home today because of snow, so I went outside the house and took some photos... The only thing that pissed me off, and I'm still pissed off about it, is that I don't know how, but I didn't realize that my ISO was set to 800!!! ARGH!!!! So the photos look a bit too noisy for my taste... well, you can really see it in the full res. ones... Anyway, here are best 3 I picked

EDIT: Re-uploaded after applying Noise Ninja
