sky is way blown out and there is too much contrast (not sure if that's the look you wanted though...)

the horizon is good though! :)

popnGEAR 07-30-2006 06:29 PM

The horizon is crooked, and is smack dab in the middle of the frame!

ecor: What camera was used for this shot? The dynamic range is quite narrow.

You can't. Your picture has blown out sky and there is little detail in the shadow areas. What PP did you do?

Well, you jumped in the deep end with the 30D, eh? Hehe...I bought a high end set-up when first jumped into SLR phtography too. Have fun with it!

dub.dub 07-30-2006 09:02 PM

lol it's tilted a bit to the left then!

baldy 07-30-2006 10:03 PM

The original is on the right.

I'm using this as my submission for the bits and pieces challenge.

popnGEAR 07-31-2006 06:24 PM

^^

i like the second one better. the first is too saturated and too cool.

Senna4ever 07-31-2006 06:32 PM

What 'bits & pieces' challenge?

Levitron 07-31-2006 06:33 PM

Really?

I like the first one. Increased contrast and saturation gives it the look of slide film. Also gives it some visual "zing".

Meowjin 07-31-2006 06:37 PM

fixing white balance now :P
