^First one is great - love the blurred background. Second is downright epic. Third is... good but feels a little flat by comparison.

ckrieg

that first shot is WOW, awesome perfect, both photographically,...(sp??) and ski wise.

second, its nice, but the halo... unless that's from the sun in the clouds, i dunno...

3rd, could have been further back. to ....maybe show more depth /perspective of the jump, but its good

ckrieg: Awesome shots. In the first one, I think it would be more pleasing if the subject were placed more to the left of the frame.

Mike, nice use of closure!

Dspirit: Love the last one out of that series. The first one is tack sharp!

Dottie: I like how you framed the last shot of the building with the trees and the editing.

Thanks - that's the seawall below Prospect Point. I'd love to try it later in the day when the sunlight actually hits along there, so it's not all in shadow.

Darthchilli, try using more zoom to focus on a single or small grouping of players. Good shots will show the players face and expression.
Also, I personally think most team sports look best when shot at the same level (or close to it) as the players.

You can't do that during Canucks games. There is a limit to the size of lens you can use.
