-Notice the green? is that from my uv filter? kinda strange. I know it's a pooor picture but just curious what caused the green.

quick question, when u take candid pics of people, do you usually ask for permission or do you snap it secretly?

Could be your filter. I've never seen that before. What brand are you using?

I just snap away. If you and your subject are on public property, you are within your rights to do so.

I'm using a hoya super uv filter. But yeah, it looked like it took the color of the tree

Here's an old pic I took, but decided to touch up today.

Good work everyone.
Ramir great shot and good pose. I would crop out the black top and straighten the light.

Gopher it's a good composition, but it's slightly dark and lacks contrast. Otherwise good color and interesting angle.

Here's one from me:

Completely uninspired angle/composition, I know. But I was itching for an opportunity to do a multi-exposure shot, and this was the best chance I had. The hangar was horrendous for light; extreme bright spots in some areas and absolute darkness in others. What you see above consists of three images, two hours of post-processing, and everything I know in CS2.

aww!! no comments and critiques for my picture? i never get any :(

salar: and i was wondering how u took that with one shot before i read the multiple exposure haha :p nicely done and well balanced. cept... my eyes keep on looking at that blown out panel on the boat

baldy 06-26-2006 08:11 PM

its nothing special, but i was bored after finishing my beer last night and decided to mess around with some close focus / wide open shooting. this is basically straight off the camera (just some curves adjustment in ps)

i know, its almost sacrilege to post this... stella... water... sick and wrong

Senna4ever 06-26-2006 08:25 PM

I wasn't sure what effect I was going after when I started editing, but I kind of stumbled across this. I liked the way it looked, so I left it... I don't mind the result.

The thing from lynda.com has the guy doing it 3 10 minute videos.

I'm going to try it soon.

Good job!

Mananetwork 06-27-2006 12:26 AM

I used 2 strobes - Left one was aimed at the wall with blue, and the other with a softbox about 45deg to her face .. I think shot at 200mm F4

dub.dub 06-27-2006 12:30 AM

me going to play with ur lights next time :p
is this ur water pic?

Mananetwork 06-27-2006 12:31 AM

maybe, I have another

Senna4ever 06-27-2006 02:28 AM

Great pic, Tom. The only thing that distracts me is the hard shadow caused by her forearm and the shadow under the armpit.

Who is she, and why is she clothed in the shower?

Senna4ever 06-27-2006 02:30 AM

I normally don't post process too much but I got this vision today as I was shooting. What do you guys think?

Doc 06-27-2006 04:54 AM

Nice one Senna. Your shots keep getting better and better.

A little USM here, a little D&B there, and before you know it, you'll be photoshop's #1 fan.

It's only in a matter of time... ;)

:p
