I agree. The sauce for the first shot was way too runny. As for the second shot, it's supposed to be for editorial purposes.

Where's that? QE park? :)

Alphamale 05-06-2008 11:48 PM

My guess is Granville Island.

MikesJo 05-07-2008 05:33 AM

Doesn't look like QE park. Where do they have a min pier like that? I also like that shot the best.

Nope. Not even close. Hahaha... I should put that picture in the "Where the F*$H% is this game" thread. Think outside Vancouver. I'm pretty sure some people have passed by this place without even knowing it.

Thanks! It was actually a pretty good day to take those snaps cause it was kinda overcast. Harsh sun wouldn't be so nice to take flower pics at all.

what's CP?

and what does hdr stand for?

Alphamale 05-09-2008 10:58 AM

CP is Circular Polarizer

HDR is Hi Dynamic Range

Google 'em and you'll find explanations.

Levitron 05-09-2008 12:44 PM

Looking good on both. Was it a double exposure, grad filter, or HDR shot (for the first one)?

Mmm...eye candy ;)

ColinK 05-09-2008 01:15 PM

I loved the colours of this one too :)

dub dub: yah I noticed the halo after the fact but was too lazy to go back and retouch it so it'll just have to sit that way until I find a day when I'm bored haha

Here's a couple from granville island today, the slight overcast sky was hard to control and even when underexposed.. it was a little on the boring side
