Nice shots Tom. Who's the gal ;).

Justin, that location for the last shot is the stair case by Emily Carr's new building right? Inside is pretty nice as well.

dspirit79 05-18-2008 08:00 AM

Mike: Yupperz. Haven't been inside tho.

Jordan: The light was placed on a snoot and actually placed behind me. No cloning. That's too much effort.

bikerx 05-18-2008 09:15 AM

^ i like the series dan :) cept the last one seems a bit out of place in terms of location imo. still fits in though :) any light set up shots and details?

MikesJo 05-20-2008 12:20 AM

I think your gf is cute ;). She have any single ballet friends ^^.

Levitron 05-20-2008 04:30 PM

Hmm good idea Wes. I'll finish up the other ones and repost them.

Mike: thanks for the compliments. Yes, she has many ballet/dancer friends. 99% are taken LOL :D

Domani 05-20-2008 04:40 PM

i like the last pic the best...., with this prospective i would like to see a wider image.

strobist: 550ex triggered by PW/430ex triggered by 550ex. both 1/1 one aimed at rear ,one frontishzzz.. if i had another one for the front of the car it woulda been SICKSZ oh wells!
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3063/...97e1e2c4_b.jpg

im 90% going to print these. had some fun taking out distracting highlights on the first shot well i found them distracting especially when blown up at full screen but anywhossss

Mananetwork 05-21-2008 01:01 AM

^ NICE!

What sort of editing did you do on them?

bikerx 05-21-2008 01:16 AM

if i told you i'd have to KILL YOU .. i know where you live;) muahaha haha kiddin

anyways first one was pretty much straight from camera. i shot it with a graduated cokin filter helped a BIT at saving the sky . and the flashes well.. filled in the almost black side of the car. i popped both flashes to about f22. so that basically lit the side .But it left all these ugly reflections everywhere so i cloned them out . the front of the car was lacking light cause i only had the two flashes so i added a little white to the front. then....warmed up the picture a bit cause flashes don't balance with the sunlight(duh , i forgot my gels at home)

second shot. i cross balanced the colors to my liking, sky was totoally gone so i used the raw and went down about -2.9 for the sky and i painted in some color into the blow out ness of the sky.did a level for the sky to pull a little more .then topped it off with some curves and contrast layers...

The middle one on the first row I can see in a yoga ad if she was wearing yoga clothing.

Like Wes said, the other 1% is fine as long as she has 200 ballet friends and the other 2 are just as cool as her :). I like girls who are into the arts :P. 介绍一下 already.
