Lower Case, stop posting so much spam! :). Haha. It's awesome you love shooting so much. A few suggestions though. What did you find so captivating about the picture you took? Is there a focal point, main point of interest, in the photo? Think of a way to photograph it in a not so ordinary manner. Anyone with your same level will have photographed it the same way. Try different angles but don't go to the extent of taking the photo at 45 degrees or something, rather different perspectives.

After taking all those shots try to narrow it down to your best one or two during the day, the ones you are really happy with. I think this way you'll get more out of it :). If you're posting spam then you can't really be that proud of it. The next photo you see I don't want to see the word "spam" beside it or any word; I want to say "wow" ;).

Keep shooting man.

thanks for the suggestions

i'm still working on the camera right now, the artsy side of it will be a breeze for me once i figure out the technical stuff.

I'm proud of every picture I take before i go --- you should be too.

the question you should be asking is "what does the picture mean to you?"

maybe the white streak across a blue sky right into the sun [just off screen] has significance to me

you don't see the world the way i see the world [and vice versa]

(this is not critism or defense mechanism, just clarifying my position)

if this is the wrong place to share progress and build skills and instead having your shots labelled SPAM then i might have to find a more friendly and progressive forum for this.

if i decide not to post here again thanks to everyone that gave me feedback on how to handle the damn thing, i'll keep at it and resurface later...

Stay Tuned

LCV, you called it "spam" :) That's why Mike was encouraging you to be proud of your photographs! He wasn't criticizing your shots!

Yeah, at f/1.2, your depth of field is about a millimeter...
