On a side note, I saw a bunch of kids/young adults more towards the beginning of the week at the new pathway in False Creek South. I bet you were rsers!

Really nice pics! If you don't mind, can you post how you took those shots? The settings involved? I've always wanted to take night shots but I keep on getting glares and the lights always are very 'star' looking. Is it cause I'm using too long of a shutter speed? if I lower my shutter speed then I'm underexposing the pic. . .what ISO should I be using?

I concur, great lighting! But I would have maybe zoomed in a little more so that the children (who appear to be the subject of the photo) take up more than 5% of the photo.

Thanks daniel.
I figured since i suck at composing shots and actually capturing it, i'd be a bit more creative haha

But, now that I have the feel for it, I plan on improving on this style.

What works will with this is using a flash.

Do a long exposure with a high fstop and fire the flash at the begining. That will light your scene and then you can move around and do your drawings without any ghosting like we are seeing the two photos above.

I did some myself a while back, but I can't find them now

What kind of light did you use to get this effect? Is it some sort of a laser pointer, or a flash light?

Hmm, true, didn't notice that... and the flowerpot shadows you could almost pass off as being from the sun... but the dish shadow there just really jumps out at me.

Looks like he used those cheap LED lights. Those are well done - especially the first set. I've worked with a Vancouver photographer who is a master @ painting with light...his work is amazing. Keep it up!

This is one area where digital has a HUGE advantage in being able to try different things and check the results immediately

Yep, the deal extreme 10 pack led's.
Swapped out the lights in those with something more powerful.
Just point the light at the camera and you're set. =)

Siem Reap, Cambodia.

10GB of RAW images. Just downloaded today . Gonna edit the photos while sitting around the Tokyo airport tomorrow. Here's two simple shots. Siem Reap is amazing! The vignetting is from my stacked filters .

Mode of transportation .
