2 flashes, one behind left side for rim, and one in front on right side to fill in the shadows (see the left side of his face/arms and the underside of the board)

I should really include that info, but this isn't strobist, so I am lazy

Totally personal, I'm not a fan of the processing. Otherwise, nice captures!

definitely too vivid IMHO... but again personal choice. particularly i'd point to the blues and greens which seem to bleed through into each other and almost overpower the neutral tones in the images (particularly the 2nd one). but good captures. The 3rd one is awesome particularly for the pure emotion aspect. the 1st one would be stronger if you had been able to navigate around that little piece of greenery in the bottom left... its irritating to the eye!

the saturation is quite high. However, it's consistent with your normal editing style. If that is what your client sees then normally, you shouldn't change your style. It's the style that they were after to begin with.

For instance, my photography tends to be more on the natural side with a slight bump in saturation overall. This is what my client will expect when they get their photographs. If I edit them harder and polish them more or even push them towards Mananetwork's style of editing, I'm no longer providing them with what they expect.

skinnypupp, did u go all the way to the top of Fushimi Inari?

the hike was killer on my weak body (plus it was like 9pm and dark) by the time I reached halfway so I never made it to the top
