You have to remove the keyboard just to get to the hard drive, let alone the ram? Is that laptop from 1994 or something?

No, that's just for the hard drive. The ram is pretty easy on the rear, it's just a plate.

Laptop is from 2007!

If you do it, I can lend you a hand. You'll have to back up with CCC first cause that alone takes 2.5 hrs. The swap is pretty simple. I'd recommend backing up to an external (blank external).

After you install the new HD, you boot off the external, and clone back to the HD. Unless you want to do a clean install with your discs. I wanted an exact copy, plus I didn't have the original leopard discs around. With CCC you don't need any discs, it's a direct copy!. CCC = Carbon Copy Cloner.

You can save a step by putting one your drives (either the new one or the old system drive) into an external enclosure - then you only have to clone it once. Drop the new drive in, put the old one in a case, and copy it over.... bang, done.

If you're using SATA drives, use one of these!

Why are the buildings to the right tilting into the frame, what lens is that?
IMO, throw it into photo shop and crop out the sky a bit more

i was using the 10-20 on the cam during that time and i shot it at the widest.
i was thinking of cropping out part of the sky, and part of the water too, but still undecided where and by how much

Yep that's another way. I didn't have an external enclosure and didn't want to spend the extra money .

^The docks are really handy, because you can drop another drive in them easily at any time. I got one that also has a four-port USB 2.0 hub built-in.

So, I shot these over the weekend at church before/after my fellowship meeting. Some critiques would be appreciated...

Thanks! =)

Thx, ur talking about the greens and yellows right ?.. Yellow in find it is a bit saturated, sun as so bright today. The greens are ok to me, hence it's my fab color hahaha.

I find it too light overall. Don't mind the saturation, but everything is so bright, there's very little definition between the colors. I do like how the door/board is right behind the girl to separate her from the background, but she could still stand out more... say, if the board was darker.

my second attempt at portraits.

I also tried a different style than usual. Went for more of a hardlight/grungy-ish style lol

C & C always more than welcome. The harder the better

The first one's kinda meh, but the other two are awesome because of the color behind the model. The wrinkles in his shirt are also sort-of distracting.

ckrieg: was your stylist AWOL? The wrinkles in the shirt do not support the rest of the image, or vice versa. We would have gotten major marks taken off for that in fashion class.

Well she's not really a puppy, but she still thinks she is

She's actually on her last legs, which is why I was getting some shots of her. She tries to run around the back yard chasing anything that moves, but her legs keep giving out on her, its funny and sad at the same time

That's mostly because his shirt is slightly too small. Shirts should be fitted but not stretched. Not a button-up anyways.
