^Could be good as a semi-abstract product shot, if you cropped out the wallet and iPod.

That's a nice crop on that CD.
The watch photo would've been awesome if the word "Fossil" was in focus

This photo was taken by my buddy Julius. It was taken from his balcony so there was no way to get around the power lines. I asked him if I can photoshop it, just so I have more practice. He was cool with it of course. I think I like the final result.
What do you guys think?

Niforpix: That's some pretty good editing. Were you using filters on PS, or what? Any tutorials you can shoot over?

No filters. I don't think I even know how to use filters yet hehe I took level 1 photoshop at Langara so as far as tutorials go, it's all in my notes from class hehe My main purpose of editing this photo was to refresh my memory on how to use certain tools as I'm starting level 2 this Saturday. Although I might have gone a bit too far with the eyes, and I should've maybe left some freckles...
Anyway, nothing too fancy. I used I think 4-6 tools in total I believe. Spot healing brush, patch tool, clone stamp tool, history brush, etc. The key is not to just go nuts with the spot healing brush or the clone tool because the face will look fake.
I used quite a bit of clone stamp tool but on very very low opacity (10%) and used lighten mode to lighten the "bags" under the eyes, moles, etc. This leaves texture of the skin and it doesn't look fake.
I used guassian blur and a history brush to smooth out the skin and to get rid of the sheem.
Burn tool - used it on the eye lashes and on the hair a little
Sponge - to whiten the eyes
Hue/saturation - to whiten the teeth and to brighten up the eyes a little
It's not that complicated to do, it just takes a while to get it to look natural... well, more less (I think it took me about 4 hours or so to do this...) I am still fairly new to this, but I was amazed what you can do after learning level 1 photoshop.

Niforpix: Ah, thanks for the breakdown. I've always wanted to take a photoshop course, but haven't had the time. Maybe this summer or something. I've only learned basic techniques like painted with light, etc, but it's all pretty much the same procedure, but with different tools, right?
The edit makes the photo look more soft overall, keep up the good work!
