^ he's shooting with a KODAK M753. The daytime shot was at 100iso, so my assumption is that either the sensor is really crappy, or the pictures were compressed a bunch before they were posted.
Composition isn't too bad. The first one doesn't do much for me though. the second one at big white would be better if that antenna and fence on the right wasn't there, it takes away from the subject (the groomer). The other two are pretty good as well, maybe trying taking them earlier right after the sun goes down so that theres still a little ambient (natural) light available to fill in the places where the light bulbs dont reach.
And if the noise is all from the camera itself, buy a new camera :P

the night shots are a bit blurry too so I'm guessing you probably didn't have a tripod. If you had a tripod, you could of had a longer exposure with more light.

I still use my portable umbrellas and speedlights atm. need to purchase a battery pack if i ever want to use these outside. on the other hand, these alien bee setups are actually not that big, its still a portable setup. other then the 35x60 softbox i used, but its collapsible.

2 ABs
AB800 with 35x60 softbox i think
AB400 with umbrella
and some speed lights for rim, but it didnt work all that well i think the AB were over powering them.

And if the noise is all from the camera itself, buy a new camera :P | unfortunately the noise is all camera, the M753 really fails in that low lighting (for me anyways). I'm not sure why the day shot was so noisy. I'd like to photochop out that antenna and fence but I don't know how, possibly that piece of tree that looks like it sticking out the top of the groomer too. I'll definitely try taking some shots earlier with more natural light, it was already dark (as dark as it gets now anyways) by the time I took those. Quote:

Why did you simulate a red filter instead of a yellow or green-blue?

On the LCD there was just a hint of rim, still new at using these, hopefully I'll improve
Make up was the same from picture to picture, other thenthe harsh red lipstick.
The black and white picture is as u can see not pure b/w, I liked the off color it gives

The Fuji photo was cropped quite a bit. I was on my way back from China when someone shouted, "Look! It's Mt. Fuji!". Luckily I was sitting at a windwo seat and on the correct side of the plane, so I quickly got my camera out of my bag and snapped those shots. I nearly missed it too.
Here are a few other photos from the plane:
