You could always burn in detail, assuming you have detail in the neg. Did you expose for the shadows and develop for the highlights? That way you'd get an amazing range of tones that you can work with in the darkroom or post processing a scanned neg.
...unless you shot transparency, then my above post is worthless.

i think i may have remembered the process backwards lol. its been about 5 years since i did any film processing...
more time exposed = more blaring white? or the other way around?
