No, to be honest... I'm currently using Shoppers Drug Mart brand 400 film, and getting them to develop it. I'm not getting them to even make prints though, since I'm still learning I get everything just put onto CD.

So let me comment on this one. There are a couple good reasons why this one doesn't stand out the way you'd like it too. First there is to much blue hue spilling into the image, play a bit more with your WB and try removing the blue spill. Secondly, the image isn't personal enough with the tiger, it's just another candit photo. The tiger's also looking away, and this disconnects the image from it.

Hope this helps a little. This is just my reason for just scrolling by and not giving it the attention it needs

Points taken. Thanks Mananetwork! I like the feed back. I can see what you mean. I thought that the image was pretty sharp and looked good. Even though his eyes aren't facing the camera, the color of the eyes made it look pretty nice. I didn't edit the photo other than a little crop, no color changes or anything. And yes, it helps.

I think that your photo of that homeless man is great! How did you setup the shot? Did you talk to him before hand and ask to take his picture? Or did you just take a snap, and buy him a double cheeseburger for his time? Nice photo!

Here's a photo of the inside of St. Patrick's Cathedral in Melbourne. The photo is an HDR with 9 photo's all merged into an HDR.

I thought it came out quite well. Comments?

Couple things odd here, first there is no AB600? only 400/800/1600. Second, if your key light is camera right, and your fill is camera left, why do the shadows say the opposite?

To be honest, just asked him how he was doing. He had a hard time talking, but he made the effort anyway. I expressed to him that I found it very surprising he was looking to work for his food instead of stealing it. Mentioned which in turn changed my perspective on the homeless. He smiled and that's when I asked him if I could take a photo. Just after I took the phone I asked him to stay where he was and I shall return with something in hand for him.

my bad on the AB600 its the AB400, 2nd time using these, havnt even looked at the model names

placement of the strobes & speedlights are at the right spots where i mentioned, but may have been guessing on the pwr wattages as its a long shoot, and have to change the pwr of light most of the time. shadows maybe be and probably created by the bare speedlights that were beside the model

I think the cathedral shot turned out great.

Thanks for the comments and feedback guys. The focal point was supposed to be the instrument itself really. The details and symmetry of it. Maybe its better in higher resolution. Anyways, thanks either way.

Bikerx, how could i have done anything different to make you focus on something?

Full res (4995 x 3329): http://flickr.com/photos/ernieturner...03423/sizes/o/
That's the original unedited version. Not enough contrast.

maybe if you centered the whole thing since its just of by like a bit.. or maybe show more of the cathedral. Another way may be to add some vigneting so the photo as a whole isn't the same tone. but to me it just looks like a snap shot

edit: hope you don't mind me giving it a go, i gave it a bit more detail in the shadows and such. yes your hdr had lots of detail but you have to learn how to use it to your advantage. i also straightened the arch .

I think the problem is everything is in focus meaning it's hard to get that certain depth of field. For example it'd be nice if the organs were in focus and the background little blurry. That'd make it more intersting I think. Here's my quick edit if you don't mind. Just blurred and darkened the background a little.
