I was walking in downtown and was just snapping pics. I then came across this lady, Merry-Lynn Allison, give food to this homeless man. The look on the guys face after he received the food was of so much gratitude. She crossed the street and did the same for the homeless sitting there. After that I went up to her and told her that it was good to see someone doing a good deed. Got her card and she's from Women Helping Women. After that we went our way.

I can't tell from the small image, but I think you need to push up the exposure a stop or dodge te guy int he hat.

Motion blur is your problem - shutter speed is too slow. Check it:

Quote:

Exif Sub IFD

* Exposure Time (1 / Shutter Speed) = 3/10 second = 1/3.33333 second = 0.3 second
* Lens F-Number/F-Stop = 7/2 = F3.5

* Exposure Program = normal program (2)
* ISO Speed Ratings = 100
* Max Aperture = F3.5
* Focal Length = 18/1 mm = 18 mm

Exif Sub IFD

* Exposure Time (1 / Shutter Speed) = 3/5 second = 1/1.66667 second = 0.6 second
* Lens F-Number/F-Stop = 21/5 = F4.2

* Exposure Program = normal program (2)
* ISO Speed Ratings = 100
* Max Aperture = F4.1
* Focal Length = 26/1 mm = 26 mm
Jack your ISO up by at least a couple stops, and you can speed up the shutter according - go to ISO400 and get down to 1/15s or so... or better yet, go to ISO800 and get a good 1/20s-1/30s. That should stop those damn jellyfish in their tracks! You'll get a bit more noise (I dunno how good the D60 is at ISO800) but it'll really help you control the blur.

Senna and Matsuda's pics don't have any EXIF info attached, but maybe they'd care to share their settings for those? :)

Here are a couple of mine from last spring... I'd have to check the originals to be sure, but I think both are around 1/30 at ISO800 on my Digital Rebel with the 18-55 kit lens.

Hmm...my exposure is a bit dark. I edited these on a non-calibrated monitor. I'll redo them.

6MP Konica Minolta 7D, both exposures 1/90 sec, f2.8, 1600 ISO

f/3.2, 3200 ISO, 1/50 sec, 50mm

Actually my jellyfish pics do have a bit of motion blur, I would of liked them to have been sharper. I think the jellyfish are one of my favorite things to shoot at the aquarium, I could snap photos of them all day :).

Sepia tinting? I think contrast is decreased, and maybe a bit overexposed, giving it a washed-out look.

Pike Place Roast has to do with that Starbucks origin story. :P

The shot is of the pike place starbucks, the first one to be opened. The photo is desaturated.
