your first pic could have benefited, from a gold reflector hitting light into their face. or even a little fill light from a flash.

that's alright, if you took a shot of the whole roof, the viewer may miss out on the detailing in the ceiling. Don't be afraid to zoom in and get in a little closer.

^^ 2nd pic... the waterfall looks so gray...

Looks like he did an HDR in photomatix, and then didn't do the tone mapping...

Are talking about my pics cuz it's not hdr just did sum adjustments in lightroom...

^ imo the greys in the image take away from the image. boosting the greens didn't really help when you lost all the other colors detail.

is that water fall local?

Shot this at 5pmish outside, not in direct sunlight.

White plate, white paper for background/reflection, some aluminum on the right to reflect some light back. A little clean up in Lightroom/PS.

I need money for strobes so I can start taking proper product photos (oo alliteration)!
