Got a Honda Pilot...(laugh) will I make it? looks like a nice place to go | Pilot should have no problem. When I got there, there were a couple guys out fishing in a canoe, they drove up there in a Chevy Astro minivan (didn't see any AWD markings on it). There are a couple of pretty rocky spots, and a number of minor washouts (you can see one just in front of the Jeep in the 3rd pic), but for the most part it's just another logging road.
There are camping spots by the lake, and several of those little metal fire pits, as it is a Provincial Park, but if you plan on cooking anything up there, you might wanna take a propane grill, as the fire hazard is HIGH right now and any kind of open burning is banned.

Nice photo's Colin. The lighting doesn't seem to work out for me. The lower half of the girl doesn't have much light. I'm sure this is tough to deal with as well. The first one is great tho!

Interesting, that's a good point. I've got a few photos that I thought turned out alright, just picked 3, but funny how two of them dont have lighting at the bottom.

Colin, they might benefit from using some burning and dodging.

Yeah, the lighting could be better...wider flash/reflector coverage would be a must, and you or your stylist should have told the bride about the muffin tops...not very flattering. Strapless gowns tend to do this, so you need to be careful.

Colin:
1st photo: The bride looks a little apprehensious to me. Her shoulders are shrugged and the smile looks forced.
2nd photo: For off hotshoe lighting you should try to work the light to get a fairly even spread over the bride. Unless you are going to do something intriguing with lighting like purposely spotting her face but not the rest of it for some reason, it tends to be distracting and unpleasing to the eye. The lighting also seems a bit harsh. You can dampen the harshness of the light by placing a diffuser closer to the bride in front of your flash. It may mean that you are going to lose a stop of light or two, but it will make all the difference in your photos.
3rd photo: Again the lighting to me is too harsh for this particular pose and setup. Also your DOF is too high and my eyes begin to wander away from the bride down the docks. Personally I would have probably sit her all the way up onto the table and tried to get the dress to cover the entire table. The wood underneath her looks kinda odd...

great feedback!
Thanks guys! I'll keep in mind for next time.
I had opted for not using diffusers for that reason that I would use a stop of light. Guess I'll just have to suck it up next time, and crank the flash up.

dspirit, that third picture of awesome. Love the detail on the hands. The other ones don't do a whole lot for me though. The second photo, the girl is nice, but the background is not that great. The first one i'm just not feeling it, kinda empty. Third picture is a winner tho!
