Naw, those use 35mm or 110 film - too much resolution...he wanted to challenge himself with the 11mm x 8mm size of the Kodak Disc film. :lol

Senna4ever 12-04-2009 10:13 PM

Come to think of it, each frame of the Kodak Disc is about the same size as the sensor in a Panasonic LX3!

skyxx 12-04-2009 11:58 PM

^ So are you saying he has to bring 3 boxes of those cartridges/disc? :lol

Matsuda 12-05-2009 06:15 AM

Tom packed his suitcase with nothing else but those cartridges..he's on one pair of underpants for his entire trip

Soundy 12-05-2009 06:29 AM

Is there anywhere that even still processes disc film??

K-Dub 12-05-2009 08:24 AM

You guys are Filthy! At least I wear one pair of underwear then I flip it over and wear it again. Then I turn it inside out and do the same thing. After that I let the sun do the work. :)

@mana Did you get the journal from there or did you get it from India? Also mind sharing your gear that your brought?

Ya I bought the book in India, they sell them everywhere in Udaipur - I've only see them there. 150rupees, ~$3.50 after some hard bargaining! It's pretty fing sweet!

I brought a 17-40, 70-200 2.8 and a 50 1.4 for night time.

the 17-40 or 16-35 plus 70-200 combination seems to be used quite a lot for travelling. Is there not much use for the 24-70 as a walk around?

Maybe it's a weight issue? I don't know, I'd take a wide prime, the 25-70 & a 70-200 personally. Hell, knowing me, I'd take as much as I can, meaning 16-35, 24-70, 70-200, 24/35mm f1.4, 24mm f3.5 TS-E. Haha..

keitaro 12-06-2009 01:43 PM

you should bring a chiropractor as well :p

Matsuda 12-06-2009 03:55 PM

A slimmed down camera bag is for the weak. :p Last time I went to Banff & Toronto, I had a DSLR, 35mm film SLR, 4 lenses, Leica M6 35mm rangefinder with 2 lenses, medium format camera & a 17" laptop. My camera bag (Lowepro Computrekker AW Plus) weighed 40+ lbs. I went on short hikes and such...I had a sore back and shoulders, but It was worth it.

underscore 12-06-2009 05:11 PM

^ Get a camera sherpa? haha

AWDTurboLuvr, Tahiti or some such glorious place?

keitaro 12-06-2009 05:23 PM
