Can you really make that out as a lady? I mean maybe the photograher knows, but does the reader? The image doesn't work for me at all, sorry ramir

lmfao dude, KL couldn't possibly be further from feeling like iraq, you're only saying that because its heavily populated by muslims. its just like any major westernized metropolis.
If you want to go somehwere in the malaysian peninsula that feels like the middle east, head further north to places like Kota Bharu. Now THAT is an authentic, fundamentalist muslim experience. when i came through there it was shortly after 9/11 and we were warned by border officials to ensure we observed traditional muslim dress "attire" (ie all joints of the body being covered, head to toe) and that we avoid looking like we were american (easy with our maple leaf patches). That sucked because it was extremely hot, but as we rolled into a town and saw the burning american flag and all the anti american sentiment, we quickly decided to suck it up and bear the heat.

anyways, nice try on the petronas towers. i think its almost impossible to get a truly well composed shot of those without having access to say... a helicopter.

WHAT???? ok you say that its nothing like iraq but i never did say that the environment was, i meant the muslims. and the middle east is actually developed!! just because it has fancy bulidings, malaysia is still a 3rd world country. i was taking pictures of a mosque and a guy from the mosque asked me to come in and look. after i was in there they tried to convert me to muslim and didnt want me to leave, he was also pointing out the extremists (potential terrorists)to me.thats why i feel like it was iraq, people wearing full veils over the body and face. also the police wont do anything to help either. we had money stolen from us and the police station was like what do you want us to do? it was brutal, the cool thing was that a 5 star hotel was 75.00 bucks a night. so we stayed at time square.

ummm, well since the first hotel we stayed at had full video surveillance, we wanted them to come look at the video tapes, but the hotel didnt want to show us, and the police said they would but never bothered. they were like were busy, in reality they think were rich and they would rather see some poor old housemaid with the money then some "rich" 20 year old travelling

Welcome to third world countries. It wasn't thats why the police wouldnt help you, its because there are people there getting murdered each day. Your silly to trust that your shit is safe in a hotel. My friend was living in bogota where the hotel swapped his Ipod for a broken ipod.

well it wasnt me that left it. and this was the toursit police, they only deal with this kind of shit. everyone we talked to that lived there were just like you are white, you look rich, people dont care about you just money, and they said the police dont want to help, so since ive been there and experienced it for 6 months, you start to figure out there system

in cambodia the police will rob you, and if you go to the police station, you cant bring anything nice or you wont be leaving with it .
