the one i use is the b+w nd filter and cokin for gnd. the cokin is cheap, but i bought a couple years ago and just never felt the need to change it since i use it only seldomly or during landscapes. the funny thing is my cpl filters are always on even indoors |

i find that it helps when shooting in indoor places with lots of glass...? i noticed a difference when the photos' reflections were seen in windows or if they aren't. |

Sorry for making the other random image thread. This one said showcase, so I wasn't sure what was in this thread. Senna, I don't mean any disrepect, but you need to chill. No need to call me iliterate. I just joined, and the thread doesn't say "random images" "snapshot of the day" or anything that would remotely give you idea that its a "random image" thread. Anyways, I'm not here to stir things up. I'll explore a little more next time before making new threads. |
Well, if you'd spent the time to maybe have a peek inside the thread, you would see that it is indeed a thread of that type. Anyways, no harm done - welcome to the forum. :) |
A few from yesterday. Headed out to Granville Island, and ended up with this one shot that I really like. Timed it perfectly with a plane flying by on the upper left. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4142/...2ecdbd2887.jpg After awhile we decided to head down to Steveston, but along the way we discovered Britannia. This place rocks with so many photo opportunities. Definitely a place that I must go back. http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4095/...5234054fec.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4082/...1e05335ff1.jpg |
First time posting pics on here. Any help is much appreciated. :) Pattullo bridge at night. ^ Depending on what you are shooting your aperture may vary but put your camera on M (manual) choose like f14 or something and leave your shutter open for like 15-30 seconds. Make sure you have a tripod or something sturdy to hold the camera still or else you'll get blurry photos. Low ISO setting for less grain. It helps it your camera has some type of noise reduction feature. Just play around with it and you'll get it in a matter of no time until you notice your flaws and you'll be like "that's wrong, that's wrong and that's wrong, gotta do it again.. argh!" |
