That is hilarious... did she do it all within in a quick time period, or was this make a pose, wait a few minutes later and pose again?

mb_ 07-28-2010 07:52 PM

I didn't wanna make a new thread but... I took a panorama then later realized that the lighting was "different" for the different shots I took and the sky looks messed up (left side) cause i tried making it 'flow' lulz

http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/2...deparkpano.jpg

How do I make it match with the right side?

moky 07-28-2010 09:27 PM

Usually to get it the same colors and all that i shoot in manual when doing pano's. So make sure your exposure it right, aperture, and shutter speed, iso and all that and take as many photo's as you like! I personally like to take vertical slides.

same. vertical slides shot at 70mm or more (on FF as to get rid of that fisheye look on panos).
i did a pano of Mt St. Helens, about 20 slides total, shot at 105mm. that took some time to stitch up together

It was over in seconds. You can see the guy taking the picture in the last photo walking up to the railing in the reflection in the glass. The other girl was posing too, but I didn't catch her. It reminded me of ballerinas practicing by the mirror with that bar attached to the wall.

Pretty excited to watch Kooza on tuesday! This is my first time watching any Cirque du Soleil too bad I can't bring a camera inside, I'd imagine some pretty awesome pictures coming out of there.

Senna4ever 07-30-2010 01:14 AM

^^^ I just saw Kooza on Tuesday. It was AWESOME. Some of the stunts are Chinese circus staples, but there were many heart stopping moments. The two guys on the revolving wheel = OMFG.

Bonjour43MA 07-30-2010 02:00 AM

Can you bring cameras into the show?

Some of the pictures that I shot in downtown today:

Pretty cool to watch these guys play chess. The two in the first pic took their time to move and what not so their games lasted a while. The guys in the second pic we're doing I think 5 minutes each and it was pretty intense to watch. Guy on the right was using alcohol as his secret weapon, they were pretty funny.

Lots of musicians with awesome talent on the streets too:

Him and his friend we're beat boxing/playing guitar/singing. People we're dancing in front of them, pretty fun to watch and listen to.

This violin guy was amazing. I wonder if he's played in an orchestra before.

A couple more random shots in my flickr too if you guys wanna check it out!

CP.AR 07-31-2010 01:19 AM

does anybody have suggestions for locations for taking pictures of the fireworks in downtown?

I read several pages back that Burrard St. Bridge is great - but is it crowded? If so around what time should I be aiming to get there?
