the 2nd one is very nice....
the ultra high contrast brings out compliments the various lines
and shapes of the buildings and shadows.

dub.dub 09-24-2006 10:20 PM

one thing i don't like about the 2nd pic are the jagged edges

I like this one, but I'd have probably shot it tighter with less emphasis on the sky and more on the nice, dreamy looking tree lines. just a tad too much empty space in the frame IMO.

:)

kudos for getting up early to catch a sunset, though. I've wanted to do that for so long but getting up before 6am is... a foregin idea for me. heh.

The white thing? It's a white box painted on the wall. It's actually everywhere. I'm just too lazy to clone it out for the web posts.

Why does my images look better in photoshop?

Anyways heres one of them from the shoot. Really should put a sig there.

MikesJo 09-25-2006 09:35 PM

Amuse: I like the colours in that shot :).

Dspirit: The second photo, imo, is better than the first. In the first shot her face is too plastic looking.

Majin: Your colour profile is most likely off. Posting for web is different than viewing your own photo on your desktop not via the browser. I believe you are working in aRGB in adobe? Convert it to RGB for web. (I think I'm right)

Thanks! I like it too, but for the reflection of the sun on the leaves, it makes it look white in the photo. Does that look ok or does it not work in that shot?

Meowjin 09-25-2006 10:00 PM

critique on the shot too!

dub.dub 09-25-2006 10:33 PM

Amuse: Try and watch out for those hot spots (on leave and fruit). The sun is a killer!

Majin: aRGB vs. sRGB. Try to convert it in PS and see if there's a difference.

Senna4ever 09-26-2006 12:11 AM

Amuse: looks like the day had very high specularity. Try using a little bit of fill flash, maybe -1.5EV.

Majin: Nice image!
